If they went to media right away they would have been accused of fomenting outside trouble instead of trying to work it within the school. But they did try to work it internally. So instead you are accuse them of "playing it perfectly" in a manipulative manner. They did not play anything. They were willing to work this out internally and the school administration simply had to resolve the issue in a firm and legal way when it was brought it up. The issue would have been resolved without going outside of the school and we would not talking about it now.

I agree with you on that. Its sad that so many are willing to impose this burden on their children, something which they would never want to have applied to themselves. How popular would it be if all jobs, no matter the position required uniform attire? And I don't mean suits, but same pants, same jackets, same shirts. What about public transportation? People get mugged on the NYC subways for sneakers or because they wear expensive clothes or get harrassed for wearing outlandish outfits. The HS uniform rationale can be applied to require uniform attire on public tranport.

A person working in the town should not have to pay extra taxes to the town. Their companies support the town with their business and the employees support the town when they shop in the town. There's also this little issue of the American Revolution. We were taught in history that one reason for the revolution was taxation without representation. If you tax commuters you are doing the same thing the British did to piss off the American colonists.

I don't know what his position is with illegals about higher education. You saying so does not make it true. Links to his campaign site stating that would help. But free college tuition is the smart thing to do. It build the human intellectual and technical base needed to compete in this world. You're investing in your future. I got free tuition through the 12th grade. Might as well extend it through college. It also removes the high debt burden from some professions, allowing the graduates more leeway to do the jobs they were trained for instead of having to worry about debt repayment.
