  1. Who did Augie Torres mean when he wrote:

It was pointed out that some members of the Harrison council had conflicts of interest, including a couple of elected council members who work for a local real estate agency that was hired by the developer.

Yesterday, at a caucus of the Board of Freeholders, Peter B. Higgins, III, chairman of the Harrison Redevelopment Agency, said that a former state Supreme Court judge was asked to review the conflict-of-interest issue.

Jimmy and Jesus work at Harrison Realty.

  2. so if amaral and the others win the appeal does the town pay their attorney fees?

I hope Amaral, Adler, and DeRose sue this town for millions. That's what they deserve. McDonough's legacy will be that he made the stupidest decision in the town's history.

  3. Guess who's going to be the new political appointee to the Redevelopment Agency?

I'll give you a few hints:

    * his last name is synonymous with Harrison politics.

    * he runs an agency in town (no, not Harrison Realty.)

    * makes over $100,000 a year.

    * not too popular with the residents

    Give up?

    Mike Rodgers.

Mayor McD**ba** comes through again for the residents of Harrison.

  4. First and foremost, welcome to Harrison. Prepare to be screwed from now on.

The November tax bills were delayed because McDonough did not want you to see it before you went to the polls and voted him back into office for another 4 years.

The reason it's taking this long is because Danny Choffo, I mean Al Cifelli (the town's tax assesor) hasn't come up with the numbers yet.

And what is the town doing about it? Nothing because they don't care that we will have to pay a double tax bill in February. For some people, that's about $10,000.00.

McDonough said they were mailed December 27th. It's now January 5th, where are they Ray!?

I think mine may have been mailed to my shore house...

  5. One will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 to discuss an ordinance. That will start at 7:30pm.

And, in regular Town Council fashion, they will hold a meeting about the budget on December 26, 2006 (yes, the day after Christmas!) at 6pm.

All will take place in Council Chambers (unless canceled).
