Guest Guest
The firefighters in Kearny and Harrison should follow the example of New York City and have random alcohol and drug testing. This would would be a good chip at bargaining time

Thier own Union agreed, and ratified the contracts which boosted the pay steps to their present levels. I've never seen ANY union screw over its new hirees that much, consistantly as the Teachers. What is the count up to now?? 17 Steps? I remember NYPD did something similar to their "unborn" a number of years back, increased their steps, changed their benefits, and disbanded Longevity. 10 years later, when the Unborn were the majority, they voted to do the same to the old-timers who had done it to them. Guest CONTRACT
why complain about not having a contract when you start you get more than most teachers in the kearny school system that have been there for over 5 yearsquit your bellyaching if you dont like it quit let a real man do your job instead of the little kids we have complaining We have every right to voice our displeasure with the Mayor & council. As far a being a cry baby you are off base! We work hard for our pay as do the teachers. BUT the teachers have a contract we the KFSOA do not. We are not allowed to strike, we have to wait 4 years for a court date to get the same pay as CS11,Police,Teachers, and the Town Administrator got 4 years ago! This is America you can agree with us or not it is your right! But WE HAVE RIGHTS TOO! and with that in mind we are Still without a contract
