WHAT'S THE DEAL MR. ROGERS???? Yes, a couple of teachers also live ther that make over $65,000.??????????? An employee that owns his own home is also housed there for emergency, but his house is only one block away, GO FIGURE. With all the people that are on a fixed income, and that are in need of housing Mr. Rogers seems to think that he can do what he wants when he wants, just like mayor Mcdonogh, they will soon be surprised on who will visit. Little afraid to respond to scarey because all you have is misinformation,as in this case .The Harrison Housing Authority is not low income housing your rent is based on your income. But don't let the facts interfere with the crap you keep posting. By the way scarey wasn't defending the B.O.E. he was defending the high school. But again that would confuse you and keep you from randomly spewing your hate on some very good teachers and administrators.Much as you hate to admit it there are many people who care and are good at what they do It's too scarey for you to deal with the truth .That's why you jumped to another topic to hide from the facts and the truth. The Harrison Housing Authority is under the direct control of (HUD) also know as HOUSING & URBAN DEVELOPMENT. Yes, you are right, the rent is based on your income with the Max rent of around $650. per month. Anyway you try to hide it, the fact of the matter is that the Harrison Housing Authority Gardens and Courts is low income housing or subsidized housing.... You are missing the point. People are turned down for housing in Harrison because they earn over 30K a year in JOINT income. Yet there are people who are employed by the town of Harrison and the Harrison Board of Ed who make MUCH more than that, still living in the Gardens, or their Parents Garden apartment. Its bad enough that they live with the fact they earn 75K a year and still live in the gardens, single, and bank money away. These peopel need to move out and let people in who really need the apartments. Shame on you!

Again more misinformation and out right fabrications people are not rejected because they earn over a certain amount. You do have point in regards to people keeping apartments they don't necessarily need.Once again it was not built as affordable housing. The sense of entitlement is what causes many of these situations. No one is entitled to a house ,an apartment , a car, a college education, a job.Sometimes things don't go your way and you may need help. The housing Authority ( not just Harrison) a federal program was create to be a step up the ladder not permanent housing.Hopefully you live there until you are in a position to move on.These are not residences to be passed down to relatives and friends. Does anyone realize that maybe when these individuals with higher incomes got in - they didn't have much income, but worked or got married that is why there income is so high - also maybe that teacher lived there when he was young and his parents died and he continued to live there - what's the problem - if you didn't have people that worked the Harrison Gardens probably wouldn't look the way it does - it might look like the housing that is in Newark! So you do have to have some people that work.

Thanks for making the point....the fact of the matter is ....It's not low income housing. It may be subsidized but it is not low income housing.Check with HUD.Just because some or even all of the people may be of low income does not make it low income housing.I guess you missed that day in Thomistic Logic 1 class

Are they hiding money? I rode by there and there are some nice rides in that lot. You hit the nail on the head, they are hiding their money. Its really easy I guess you just put your money into your children's account [the ones that don't live here of course ] or some other family menber that you trust. There are a few in the gardens that have done this. Owned a business, home down the shore, and lives in the gardens. Turned the money over to the children.
