Why do you harbor such resentment against the counterterrorism community? Who else besides an aspiring terrorist could be inflamed by such a well-meaning article. The moment I saw the three Police Officers raise the American Flag on a pole in the middle of the pile a bit of calm came over me. They are fairly polite, they respond in an emergency, my appartment had an issue. In Chicago it would have taken DAYS for them to respond if they come at all. So they make $100,000. A movie costs $15 and a bottle of water there is $4. A glass of wine in a restaurunt costs $12. GAS IS $3.25 a gallon. What planet are you all living on? 1930 or a remake of leave it to beaver. Would you really want your police to only make $40,000? Oh yeah...but you want to sell the house you live in for $400,000 instead of the $200,000 it's worth. Police and Fire should be make at least $125,000 after 10 years. teachers the same. Yeah yeah....think about it, POLICE-FIRE--- you know 911 come save my life. And kids-our futur! I'm probably in the minority on the site. I rent. I don't have kids. I work in Manhattan. I make more than the family upstairs that work 4 jobs between the two of them. I think they're from south america, not sure where. They pay their 1400 a month rent just like I do. They have talked about the dishonest police in "their country." We agree, give the Kearny cops a raise. Maybe that way my landlord will stop shopping ALL the time with my rent money. (How many boxes from ebay and cataloge companies can one woman get?)
