OK, you still don't understand. The lower tip of Manhattan is on the Atlantic Ocean, check a map. And you are very stupid.

Manhattan, is the oblong island toward the right of the picture with the green rectangle in the middle (Central Park) and the darkest purple-black areas (midtown and downtown). Immediately south of it is Upper New York Bay.

You could also try this: http://www.travelamap.com/mapcity.asp?id=25

It’s spelled out more clearly here:

The numbers are explained below the map. “1” is the Hudson River. “2” is the East River. “5” is the Upper New York Bay. “6” is the Lower New York Bay. “8” is the Atlantic Ocean.

What part of Manhattan touches an ocean?

What part of Queens touches an ocean?

Take your time.

No time necessary. New York is a coastal city. It doesn't have to "touch" the ocean.

Your own map CLEARLY shows #8 bordering N.Y. which makes N.Y. a coastal city and you CLEARLY stupid, as was previously stated. Thank You.

No time necessary. New York is a coastal city. It doesn't have to "touch" the ocean.

The statement that generated this ridiculous controversy over a non-issue was: "If Wilmington so far surpasses Kearny as you imply, then why aren't you living there? Some people like beautiful coastal cities, but others take Manhattan."

Wilmington, North Carolina was portrayed as a beautiful coastal city. Manhattan is a borough in the City of New York on the East Coast. It is not generally thought of as a "beautiful coastal city." People don't come to Manhattan to go to the beach.

There are many differences of type between the two cities. Unfortunately, the right wing has trained people to label things, and they've become too stupid and too stubborn to admit that the reality is more important than the words.

Dear Stupid,

The original statement was about Manhattan, not New York City. You knuckle-draggers changed it to New York City, probably because it had started to penetrate into your pea-brains that you were wrong.

The Atlantic Ocean does not touch Manhattan. Therefore, Manhattan is not a beautiful coastal city. In fact, Manhattan isn't even a city. It's a borough.

Maybe if you listened to the theme song from the TV show "Green Acres," you might understand. Don't want to give you anything too hard.
