Still Waiting

I'm still waiting for Nancy Pelosi and her merry band of defeatocratic

fools to acknowledge the dramatic decrease in violence in Iraq. Our troops

are doing a terrific job under terrible conditions and yet even at Christmas the

defeatocrats cannot find it in their hearts to acknowledge the great job our

troops are doing. It's no wonder Congess's approval rating is at 20%, an

historic low.

We're all still waiting for your ilk to acknowledge the dramatic increase of violence in Iraq, caused by this ridiculous invasion that's done nothing but increase terrorism in the Middle East.

Our troops are doing a terrific job under terrible conditions

No thanks to the woefully substandard equipment they're using.

and yet even at Christmas the

defeatocrats cannot find it in their hearts to  acknowledge the great job our

  troops are doing.

Increasing violence dramatically and then reducing it to a level still well above what it was before the initial increase is nothing to be proud of. Bring the soldiers home.

It's no wonder Congess's approval rating is at 20%, an

  historic low.

"According to a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll released here Tuesday, only 26 percent of poll respondents approve Republicans in Congress, compared with 33 percent of approval in Feb.

There is no good news for Democrats either. The poll also finds the approval rating for Democrats in Congress down to 30 percent, a drop of 11 percent from Feb.

Bush's approval rating stands at 32 percent and has been low for the past two years.

"The American people just decided that Washington is either incompetent or irrelevant," said Frank Luntz, a pollster.

"Republicans made promises they didn't keep, and Democrats made promises they couldn't keep. And now it's a pox on all their houses," he said.

Nevertheless, there is still a silver lining for Democrats, as poll respondents favor the party by a 53-percent to 40-percent margin in next year's elections.

The poll was conducted from Dec. 14-16 among 1011 American adults nationwide."

Please tell us where anyone , wheter be it here or elsewhere has anyone ever said that the troops weren't doing a good job? That isn't the point nor has it ever been. The point is no permanent occupation which is exactly what we are going to have.

Your ignorance is growing tiresome.

I think we're all waiting for the Iraqi Government to do something, anything to meet the benchmarks they agreed to institute.

And don't crow to soon, since we are starting to draw down the surge troops that were supposed to help the Iraqi Government get on their feet, minus of course their summer holiday.

A friend of mine has a son over there who got a real big present from the fool in chief. His tour of duty went from 12 months to 15 months and now 18 months.

I wonder what he plans to give him for his birthday.

Which puts a lie to "its going well."

For if it were, then they would not extend tours; which the troops are opposed to.

So much for caring for the troops. Don't expect their caring attitude to go beyond giving "we support the troops speeches" and placing stickers on cars.

Ah yes, the old "backdoor draft". That coupled with civilian mercenaries has squelched the need for a traditional draft which would have been political suicide, not that GWB and company cou;dn't do that on thier own.

I'm not waiting for negative news, just giving you a realistic assessment of how well things are going over there.

I wonder when guys like this will realize how many people are represented by Democrats, so when they lash out blindly against them, they actually hate most of America.
