Posted March 30, 2006 Report Share Posted March 30, 2006 Harrison water rates to rise due to Passaic Valley hikes Monday, March 27, 2006 By ROSE DUGER JOURNAL CORRESPONDENT HARRISON - Residents and businesses are facing a sizable water rate increase under a proposed ordinance that will have a public hearing at next month's Town Council meeting. The ordinance proposes a 39 percent increase in water rates - rising from $19 per 1,000 cubic feet of water to $26.50 - along with a 13 percent hike in sewer rates. ... The ordinance mentioned in the above Quote, was passed Monday, March 27th. The whole council voted yes in favor of the ordinance, except Dan Kelly, who was absent.
