Kearny DPW Drunks

Here is some information, You Tax paying folks may be intrested in.

Kearny DPW has always been a sore spot for the Town.

Why is it there are Drunks and a drug addict on town property,

Being paid a alot of money? What other employer would put

up with this?

You have to blame the Mayor and Council for this!

They have put people on the Payroll,

That belong in Jail, let alone a town job.

A major part of the problem is Poor Management.

Now only are these people intoxicated, They are allowed to drive equiptment.

Upper Management knows whats going on, They look the other way.

Maybe the State should go investigate.

Management at the DPW is lacking to say the least. What is needed is someone that will not put up with the antics of the workers. Change is needed, and should start with the supervisors. Hey guest do you drive a roll off truck? Call the state.

Really! I'm not, for 50,000.00 plus I want them to do more then clean streets. The supervisors should be on the streets checking the employees. But their not! It's a good thing the town got a contractor to do the parks, because now cs11 can do less and still get 50,000.00 plus. That Dept. needs real supervision and people that work. We need a real DPW not disney world. Hey mayor bring in a consultant and see what can be done with this dept.

They make closer to $60,000 with the new raise.

I agree, but they should work a full day. Not ride around town burning up gas and tire rubber. I'll get over it when someone pays for my benefits and gives me weekends off. Right now I'm concerned about local taxes. Now be honest, how many of you would make it working for a real company? You, get smart! Because a lot of people would love to have a job like yours. Keep in mind the contrctors are in the wings and they can do your job faster and cheeper and with less people.So maybe someday you will work in the real world and see how the people that pay you make their living.

out bids to contract out leaf removal cs11 did a bad job

last year, And every year it is going to be the same.

The dpw needs to be be made smaller cost less money to operate.

Now that summer is ending shortly, What is the the DPW next jobs leaves!

The town should allow overtime and work Saturdays to remove leaves,

They did it years ago even on election day.

The residents would be happy and the guys could make a few extra dollars.

Our town would be cleaned up faster and better, The Town can affors this.

As far as the pay goes for town workers, It cost alot to live today, If tax payers

are not happy move, Kearny is a fine community.

I too work for a living, and I also pay taxes, but when I have a problem that involves the town I call with a pleasant phone manner and tell them the problem and I get a response either they come to my home or call with an approximate date, I believe that there are people in every job that go to the local tavern for lunch or run to the bathroom to do thier drugs,why single out the DPW ? don't you think that if all they here is "What a bunch of druggies and drunks they are and that all they do is drive around wasting gas and the taxpayers money. ) that that would be a great incentive?
