okay, i completely agree with the statement in bold.. but the first part of it, i have to argue..
1) they dont learn the language, which causes the 'white americans' to have less job availability during HS/College
2) getting free college.. that myself and other actual citizens have to pay for out of our pockets which means they are using us, why cant i get a free ride.. im not rich? i guess its cause i was born here.
3) sure they work hard, but they take under-the-table jobs that HS kids/people should be gettin paid on the table
4) they bring crime; shoplifting, drugs, identity theft
5) why do you think 3 hospitals are closed/closing in the area.. no insurance, dont pay their bills, granted the medical feild is rediculous anyways to pay in cash.. but thats another story.

Why don't the fireman get some boots and beg for money like they did for all the 911 families who got multimillions of dollars for no apparent reason. The fdny should have used that money to buy more reliable radios and equiptment but the making widows multimillionairs. The ambulances are certainly important but keeping an 86 year old woman as a secretary and all of the other useless high paying jobs is more important. The fireman should go see Ray Soprano but they are afraid it will cut into their promotions and raises. Its just the same old same old, the pocket $$$$$$$$$ is more important. You don't think the fire chief is gonna speak up because he worships only the God of money.

If you dont want to give up the big family SUV for those special events then perhaps a wise move for local shopping or long solo trips would be to lease or buy a small car from Lynn Cherolet a real local service department and sales staff where the customer is still always right and the owner knows your name!

You don't have to say what kind of people do that...They are from Central and South America. It's not a secret. Most, NOT ALL, do not have regular garbage pick up like we do in their native countries. They just throw the garbage out the door or window and that's where it stays.
yeah i know who exactly it is... and pretty much always has been since i was a kid in the 80s i never threw trash on the ground in my hometown cause i have always respected and taken care of the streets...
the thing about being pro-active is.. i see you throw trash in the street, i call the cops, EPA... next thing u know.. 5-10mins go by and that south american disappeared in a van of 10 guys to disappear and never be seen again.. then they all will deny deny deny.... and say they dont speaka english

If a cop is supposed to be patrolling, then patrol! Don't sit in one location for hours not doing a damn thing. And the PD are that good looking, seems like half of them can barely fit their stomach behind the steering wheel. Hi all; I am a home-owner in Harrison; I found we have Harrison Channels 34 and 35 (not sure if there's more) showing nothing valuable all day long.
Does our town pay for the broadcasting? I bet it's not gonna be cheap; plus the town need to hire at least two positions to create all the broadcasting "news".
That ends up we, home-owner/taxpayers, pay all the fees...
Is there anyway that we can request to shut it down? It may only save us $50 per year; but I would like my money not to be wasted.

The McCormicks are the McComics if you think they are honest, you've never dealt with them. They have lived in an illegal apartment without a cert. of occupancy for at least 15 years! Also, they owe the town hundreds of thousands of dollars in construction fines for construction without building permits! With them it will be business as usual, only the players will be different.

"These people" are the only ones who spend money in this town. The teachers bring their own lunch, the fireladies cook with groceries from Kearny, and others wouldn't be caught dead in a Harrison store or eating establishment (too low class). Their is no LeCirque in Harrison that the big money is used to or similar restaurants. They just come to town, get their massive checks, and get on 280 or the Parkway. St. Patricks day has been cancelled by the Mayor and Council. Oh, get with it, will ya!! Thats my opinion.
