A decreasing tax base. Redevelopment has been talked about, and Santos TALKS a great game. A town union that has been FIVE full years without a contract. A Chief Financial Officer who, essentially, EMBEZZLED town funds. No, I don't buy the argument that no town official was smart enough to see what was going on. Remember, "Ignorance is bliss." Not an excuse. A substantial infrastructure problem, water sewage in homes, that HAS to be dealt with. The fish rots from the head on down, and like it or not, the town's direction under Santos is smelling awfully fishy. Rumor has it that the Mayor will not support James Morejon as one of the three names to be submitted for 1st ward councilman. Morejon is not qualified according to the Mayor. Qualified, Morejon is qualified and almost won as 1st ward councilman in the Democratic primary but for the Mayor's door to door campaigning on behalf of absentee-councilman Torres. The Mayor is not smart enough to bring in Morejon who is not anti-Santos but simply anti-no show councilman Torres then the Democratic party is in trouble. Sacco does love a winner but he always remembers his friends. Mangin was smart last year when he got dumped from the line by the county for not going to Sacco to plead his case, which made him an even greater "friend" to the senator. Santos on the other hand got greedy and wanted Kearny to get the assembly and freeholder slot. Mangin keeps making friends and Santos continues to make enemies. if I had any advice for Mangin it would be this, just be patient. his day will come.
