You should ask for an audit from the Department of Personnel to fill Tb's spot on Squad 5. They are working without a Sgt. Guest Guest Posted October 5, 2004 Report Share Posted October 5, 2004 If the PBA was on its game they would have insisted that a new Sergeant should be promoted to fill the deceased officers position. There were 3 Officers who were tied for the opening. That could have been settled by going to the highest scorer on the entrance test which should have been TC. For all his faults, he is an excellent police officer who knows how to handle the job and it would give him incentive to excell as a Supervisor. If I were him, I would sue the Town of Harrison so that the position would be filled from the old list. JT made a mistake by not transfering a Sergeant from other assignments in the department and left the Town ripe for a lawsuit. I agree that a audit by the Department of Personnel is in order. He expects to come out high on the new list and hopes to be promoted. Meanwhile, the last 3 on the last list will be left high and dry. When was the last time TC has taken more than his vacation off of work???? Any injuries from work were because he actually got out of the police car and did some work. TC happens to be one of the better educated police officers in Harrison. He didn't need the answers to the test. He did this thing called "study." JT has been an absent chief and has't even replaced a missing Sgt. on a patrol squad. the squad doesn't even have a Sgt. and he don't even care. GREAT ADMINISTRATOR! PBA says we need Sgt.s and is working on it but the mayor dont care cause he is too worried about hotels and stadiums. Wait til Newark overruns your hotels and stadiums and streets becqause there are no good cops or cops who give a damn. All you who badmouth the cops are stupid because even though you hide here behind your compuiters are just gonna insult them and wind up on their bad sides. They do a pretty good job but your badmouthing is only gonna make them hate us all. Matbe you'll end up like DK. Those guys like EM,Tc and DD are the guys who kept the others under control during VG and didnt take their shit out on the mayor and the locals. First of all, if TC is one of the most educated police officers in the town the cops are in serious trouble. Next, the PBA relentlessly trashed the Mayor and Council in every form of media they could find and took out their frustrations on the innocent citizens with the infamous ticket blitz. So if you are looking for any sypmapthy from those groups you are in for a long, long wait. And since when does the PBA make decisions on how many Sgts. or any other staffing that is needed. Your ego and sense of self importance far outweight your inability to see who really is the boss in town, and it ain't the PBA. So buy your cocktail party tickets, continue kissing ass, and just hope that someday those affected by your childish antics try to forgive you bunch of morons. Another example of a cop who seems to take pride in seeing someone suffering from the disease of alcoholism instead of trying to understand the destructive nature of the disease and the millions of people and families that are affected by it. Bring yourself up by bringing others down, you have no other way to express any good qualities you may have. You can help him just like you helped AB go downhill by encouraging him to drink resulting in the loss of his job. Friends like you are nothing but leeches and out for yourself. You are a real good friend to help out that way when the mans living and families income is on the line. Maybe, but I doubt it, someday you will grow up. He is the ultimate " hide in the tall grass person". He has successfully avoided responsibility for 40 years and will continue to do so. As for being an "absentee Chief", how can he discipline anyone when he is out of Town so much in his shopping and lunch tours. But, thats what the plumber wanted all along. Guest Guest Posted October 19, 2004 Report Share Posted October 19, 2004 the axe has fallen and the people have spoken, all there is now is too run to another dept that will accept you.some of you know better and have start onto the right path . the rest well they tend to B**ch and bend along the way but know you can't go any further then you have. those self imposed ego manics, you know that take off on a drop of a hat to some pba function. especially if the no balls lt is working that day to save his ass on some overtime the next day or something like that. you know what i mean and who you are. keep dreaming and then maybe those ruby red shoes will provide a better way home to retirement. yeah forget about the steady shifts there wipes, some of those already steady have made it known and will win that battle. so what are you left with? same old bitter back stabbing sick abusing internal affairs reports coming. even those who believe their job is secure should count to three and open them eyes wide. plan to see alot more warriors go down for the count by the end of the year. type fast and update them resumes, we are only at the peak of the hill. Chief of Police making big bucks without a care in the world while the PBA has led the union and other into one of the most poorly paid and mismanaged departments in the state. What happened to all of the promotions and raises the PD was supposed to get? You guys are just too stupid to see how the real world works. You are not going to see any promotions for a long time unless its someone who lives in town and can keep his mouth shut. If you are such a talented person and hate Harrison, then turn in your gear and leave. There is a list of Sheriffs Officers willing to take your place at half the cost. Instead, you cry and complain like toddlers who can't find their mommy. Salute the Mayor when you see him, shut your big mouth, buy your cocktail party tickets, and kiss every ass you can reach. As for us, we have been trying to get higher pay for years but its a hard thing to do because the Town is a distressed city and there's no money. We can't help it if he spends time in EN as School psychologist, works for Supor hiring officers for security and part time as Chief. Its up to the Police Chairman to see that he does his job. Face the facts, you are getting screwed because you are followers and not leaders. You will never be treated well in your career because McDonough will be Mayor longer than Frank Rodgers.
