HOW ABOUT THE FACT NO RETIRED COPS PARTOOK IN THE MASS,MUCH LESS SHOWED UP WITH THE EXCEPTION OF FREDDIE WALSH. SOME RESPECT LESSONS ARE WARRANTED BY BOTH SIDES. IT WAS A VERY POOR SHOWING AND INDICATES THAT THE PRESENT POLICE ADMINISTRATION HAS NO SUPPORT FROM THE RANK AND FILE. THEY SHOULD JUST LET EM HOLD THE AWARD CEREMONY AT THE ANNUAL PBA BALL. Guest Guest Posted May 5, 2004 Report Share Posted May 5, 2004 It shows that there is no pride in being a Policeman in Harrison, NJ. This was put in place by the council allowing the bargaining unit make decisions on disciplinary issues at drunken parties amongst other things with certain councilmen. Respect is earned, not given. The current bargaining unit is only out to benefit certain members and families. The Police have dug their own hole which they are not capable of crawling out of now. The future is as follows: No Chief, 1 Deputy Chief, 1 Captain, 8 Lt., & 6 Sgt. The rest patrolman. You may say not true, but time will slowly pass and eat you up as this develops.
