A lot of bags are tossed to the curbside and a lot are torn open by stray animals. The Town could make a lot of money in fines just a thought. More patronage and nepotism jobs for retired Cops, Firefighters and any political hack looking for a handout. The T.I.A. (Trash Inspection Agency) needs a budget of at least $5 million to get up and running. New Inspector vehicles, office space, salaries, benefits, office staff, uniforms, badges and a $300,000/year Administrator. The Administrator should be someone who already draws 3 or 4 salaries from the town or county. Not hard to find at all! A minimum of (2) $100,000/year Secretaries required. Rank is a must! A Chief, Deputy Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant and 5 Inspectors to start! Get the ball rolling! Raise taxes! Hahahaha! Harrison's turned into a real shit show! It comes down to not only a sanitation issue. But also a matter of town pride as well. How much does 2 cheap plastic cans cost? 25 dollars?. You see having garbage bags in cans is not only a cleanliness trait. It is also a crime deferent. There are a few good traits a neighborhood can have going for it to make it unwelcome for crime. Being kept clean and orderly is right there with people being out on their porches at night. Sure it is easy to pick up a few garbage cans at a store and use them. Let,s see how many people read this thread and actually do something about the problem. Should we take it upon ourselves to post pictures on this forum to shame offenders into following town code.
