Guest Senior Resident
Can Mayor James A. Fife stop using the emergency phone dialer system set up for emergency situations for non-emergency announcements. Can someone explain to Mayor Fife that the emergency phone dialer system is for emergency use only.
Guest Guest
Just using his political clout to keep putting his name out. I agree, emergencies only.

Maybe someone should introduce the Mayor to Twitter.
Guest Resident
Everyone loves to complain. So what if the Mayor uses the emergency line to pass information to the public at least it's being used and we are getting information. If he didn't use it you would complain that we have it and it's not used. Grow up find something to do with yourself.

Emergency system is used to announce emergency only. Where else have you seen them using it for other uses? Why use it for advertisement. If you go on the town website, you see they have a twitter account. They can use that, or even fix there site up even better and get rid of some junk contents that been there for years. Come on Harrison!, you can do so much better in communicating to your residents.. Maybe start with social media or even your OWN website! :P

"They" will create a $150.000.00 a year job for a relative or retired Fireman. One of the retired Battalion Chiefs could always use a third pension. I can just picture their title. "Emergency Announcment Person" or E.A.P. They will call you and tell you that it is raining or snowing or better yet, they can just go on the roof of the Town Hall and yell out any emergencies. Harrison is so small the whole town would hear it. While he's up there he could play the Bagpipes to provide some entertainment.
Guest Resident
Omg Truthresident who cares most people do not have social media and also don't have the technology like the senior citizens. So with that let's appreciate the efforts.
