Christianity on the way out

The newest Pew poll numbers find that Christians are down to 70% of the population-a 7.8% drop in 7 years. Meanwhile, non believers are up by nearly as much, up to 22%. No wonder Christians are so desperate-in a few more decades they'll be a minority.

Everyone knows it's a myth. It's just that more and more people are admitting it - to themselves first, then to everyone else. It's only a matter of time.

What's your malfunction?

The angry atheist has crawled out from under his rock again. Reading between the lines, I'd say this boy is very unhappy. He's in a job he doesn't, no girl in his life. And of course it's all God's fault. If we don't respond to his tired rhetoric maybe he'll crawl away.

"God" can't be at fault for anything if God doesn't exist, genius. Silly religious beliefs are people's fault. Not all religious beliefs are silly but many are. It's OK to want comfort but too often, religion takes it too far. Young people are in contact with people from many religious traditions, and people who consider themselves non-religious. Myth-based religions will not survive that for long.

As for angry and unhappy, you might want to look in the mirror.

Your post would be funny if it wasn't so sad. You don't seem to have a clue that you are living proof of what atheists say about arrogant Christians.

Look at what you just did. You made up a story, and presented it as absolute truth, even though you don't know any of what you wrote to be true. That's exactly what atheists say you do in your religion.

You're not even being "Christian" about it. Judging by your post, YOU are angry and mean-spirited. And if you're the same person who keeps posting the same inane right wing drivel here, day after day, week after week and year after year, most people here probably wonder when you'll drop the tired rhetoric and go away.

However, it is a fact that the Pew research poll shows that affiliation with Christianity has declined rapidly in the United States in recent years. Is this the beginning of a long-term trend? We'll see.

Speaking of crazed fantasies...
