Guest Guest
Total number of people knocked off their healthcare plans is now up to 5.42 million and climbing. These are 5.42 million people who will be voting Republican next year and in 2016. Harry Reid will regret going nuclear. For starters, those are two completely separate issues. To the first, you will never acknowledge the fact that the people whose insurance policies were canceled had bad policies that took their premiums but didn't pay for their care. However, that is a fact. If you think all those people will vote Republican in 2016, you're crazy - but then we already knew that. We need a law that makes sure everyone is covered. The ACA is a step in that direction. The Republican "solution" is to abolish it, when what we really need is a law that goes much further. To the second slogan, Republicans were abusing the filibuster. From our country's founding, it was rarely used. Republicans were abusing it as a routine tool to block numerous appointments, even against nominees they know are qualified. Their threats mean nothing. They were already abusing the system in every way they could. So 52 Senators voted to change the rules to prevent the Republicans from grinding the government to a halt - sound familiar?
