Guest Harrisonian
Mayor McDonough send out an historic letter endorsing Chris Christie for Governor. He says go to Column B and select Chris Christie and then go back to Line A and select the Democratic Candidates including Senator Sacco. Nice! What party is McDonough on. Too bad McDonough wasn't running this year because that would have been a funnier letter than it was. Has there ever been a Democratic Hudson County mayor supporting a Republican candidate in a contested race? Can't wait till Christie's friends at United States Attorney General's office come visit McDonough at town hall to thank him.
Guest guest
Frank Rodgers supported Mr. Kane, a republican, for governor way back when. I forget who the democratic candidate was at that time
Guest one who knows
It was Tom Kean,.I believe..The opponent was State Sen.Tom Florio and Reelection over Peter Shapiro with Rodgers support. It goes back further than that. Mayor Rodgers also backed soon- to- be Governor William Cahill vs. former Gov Robert Meyner. In both cases he brought the Hudson County political machine kicking and screaming with him.His motives were not self protection as in Mc Donough's case.In both cases it was because of slights to Harrison or Hudson County. Frank Rodgers never backed a loser and took some big risks .This guy ,this Mayor, has forgotten he's a Democrat and is looking for someone to bail him out for his mismanagement and misdeeds. The clock s ticking.Remember the truth will set you free .It can also get you locked up. By Whom exactly?????? State AG's office hasnt touched corruption since Christie was Elected, US Attorney's office hasn't been heard from, and Hudson County Prosecutor's??? We havent HAD a Prosecutor for Months, a bunch just left to go to other agencies, and the Supervisor to Det ration now stands at close to 2-1, with under 70 people now from the 1st Asst Prosecutor to the Junior detective.....and not even a Proposed new Prosecutor has been named. Your Mayor Sip-N-Dunk is pretty safe for a while...but then again YOU GUYS keep electing the Chump. There's an old saying "The Government people get, is the Government they deserve" y'all had a chance to change it, and you didnt....S**ks to be you. He was anti-corruption and he's buddies with McDonough someone he was investigating while he was the United States Attorney General. For sure, Christie knows a lot about McDonough, yet he sought out the Mayor's support to gain a 2nd term as Governor. Christie said that Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission was a bunch of patronage jobs. He fires almost everyone and hires his own political hacks. Now there is sewerage going into the Passaic River because nobody is qualified to run the plant. Christie spends $10 million dollars on a Special Election for the US Senate Seat. Supports Lonegan but doesn't campaign for him. Christie was afraid that Booker at the top of the Democratic ticket might have cost him his Governor's seat so no problem spending $10 million when he said that would never happen if he was elected. Christie will run for President and lose. He doesn't have the temperment of a President nor the stamina given his health issues, i.e. being over weight, to make it through a Presidential campaign. I liked him much better when he wasn't a hypocrite. It is repulsive to see McDonough and Christie together. Christie is as bad a McDonough because he gave up easily what his Mother taught him not to do.

Guest Guest
Rally didn't help. Losing your effectiveness? No lost it years ago. We need a new direction. Although Christie lost Hudson County, he did WIN in HARRISON!!! So how is it that McDonough has lost his effectiveness?
Guest Guest
Although Christie lost Hudson County, he did WIN in HARRISON!!! So how is it that McDonough has lost his effectiveness? I wasn't critcizing the mayor. I was critical of Governor Chris Christie who had the opportunity to save the taxpayers over 10 million dollars and be truthful and honest and not the typical politician. He has failed and caught the bug that every politician catches and that is the power goes to their heads. McDonough was smart. He played Christie and got himself some funds for Harrison and himself off the radar screen at the Department of Justice. What Christie doesn't realize is that McDonough will sell him cheap as soon as he gets an opportunity to do so. Harrison politicans and their friends look out for one person: themselves and their family members.

Guest Taxpayer
Let's be honest ! The McDonough Adminstration in the Town of Harrison been a disgrace and a failure for the residents of the community . Granted they been quite good to their cronies and family. At the cost of the taxpayers! Needless there has been numerous opportunities to curb there spending but they would be incapable of taking care of these people . The biggest kick in the pants ,is that these people think they are to good to live here.

Guest Guest
Mayor, How much money are we secretly paying for lawsuits against the Town with my tax payer money? How much for Doran vs PD? How much for Rodgers? How much sexual discrimination suit? Such BS. When will this all end???
Guest Rockman
What is Doran suing the HPD for? Who's suing the PD for sexual discrimination? Do you remember when the HPD had a police dog search the police locker room and several officers threatened to sue? Never happened because a search warrant was issued by a Superior Court Judge after the affidavit was approved by the Prosecutor. So, a lot of lawsuits are dismissed or never followed threw on.
