I've never read any comments from you concerning all the lies zerO told to get elected in '08, such as "I'll cut the deficit in half in my first term". If he had actually done that, the debt would be now 5 trillion instead of the 16 trillion it is now. He missed his promise by

11 trillion dollars. But that's OK with the Loonies, right? And as a "proud american", you have no problem with zerO's goal of

I think you are confusing the deficit with the National debt which are 2 entirely separate issues. When the President came into Office we had two wars that were not included in the deficit he inherited. We had an automobile industry on the brink of collapse, AIG insurance that was two days from becoming insolvent because of poor business decisions, a housing market that was collapsing. He didn't create these it was left to him to correct. No President could have foreseen the disaster. So of course he couldn't cut the deficit. However, the auto industry is back, and are repaying the loans that were made, the housing industry is starting to recover, AIG is repaying back the money. I don't know what you mean by a European Nanny State but it is estimated that it's going to cost 50 billion dollars to repair the damage from the hurricane that hit New Jersey. Most of the money is gong to come from the Federal Government. Is this what you refer to as a European Nanny State? Under the Health Care Law, no person can be denied coverage of a pre-existing condition, the donut hole on Senior Prescriptions was closed. Now before you start criticizing Obama Care remember that the idea of having the Government run health care was recommended by the Heritage Foundation which is the Conservative think tank.

Do you want a Government that supresses voting and on the one hand talks about states rights and then passes laws designed to usurp those rights when they don't agree. I don't. We need the American People to come together and politicians who put those people ahead of their own agenda to work together. Remember it was the Republican Minority Leader and the Speaker of the House that said their top priority was to make Obama a one term President. Why is it that a Proud American doesn't mention the 16 trillion debt (up almost 6 trillion in zerO's 4 years) and projected to hit 21 trillion by

2016 ? Why is it that a Proud American doesn't mention the 47 % that are on the public dole (an increase of 19% in 4 years) ? Why is it

Since 1980 when the debt was 1 trillion dollars we've had 3 Republican and two Democratic Presidents and only one balanced budget. Tell us who the President that balanced the budget was.

As far as the 47% is concerned, who are they? Well they are Veterans, Seniors, Retirees, Unemployed and people on Welfare.

With regards to the Fiscal Cliff you're refer to, the President wants tax relief for the 98% of us and to have the 2% who have seen their income rise by 260% while the rest of us have seen our wages drop, pay a rate equal to when Clinton was in Office. Your party would rather keep the status quo.

I receive a small compensation check from the VA because of Agent Orange. Other than that I have never relied on or asked the Government for anything.

I was a registered Republican for 35 years until the party was taken over by the right wing nut jobs. I still vote Republican when there is a candidate that is a moderate which is rare. And my ancestors fought in the War for Independance so any of my sisters and female relatives can join the Daughters of the American Revolution. If Congressional Republicans choose to waste our time with another phony debt ceiling crisis, they will be the ones who created the crisis. The money is already allocated to be spent. But of course you'll blame President Obama for what Congressional Republicans do because that's the only song you know, even though you don't sing it well. They don't either. Look at their approval rating. They should spend their time on things that matter, like jobs, infrastructure and energy, and try to help us finish bringing the economy back from the disaster we've been in since late 2008 when - yeah, that's right - Bush was president.
