Guest Kevin Dimasco
That's right people ticket blitzes are coming at the end of August, Labor day weekend has always been the best for Police, and the worst for drivers. Use Caution when passing Tops diner, little East Newark needs to make their municipal dollars somehow. The cops always hide in the parking lot. Be extra cautious down by Wendy's in Harrison ,same deal down there. Let's make it a safe Labor day weekend.. Remember to start pondering the towns future and really think about how hard they are screwing us taxpayers and property owners.I t's always great to get together with family and friends and reminisce about the past and plan the future. See how the towns around us have changed. Plan for the future, Big Mac and his boys are, so should you.
Guest Guest
Here's a thought.....Dont drive like a Jackass, and Obey the Law, and you dont have to WORRY about getting a ticket. Simple, Isnt it???
Guest Dave S.
Your supposed to drive cautiously in town you moron. If you care so much about the future and the children you would know that. Your basically telling people they can drive like an ass in all the places other then the ones you listed. When the police do see someone driving crazy, are they not supposed to enforce the law and write a ticket? Your argument makes no sense. If they didn't write tickets everyone would be driving crazy all over the place. Your a d**b a** *******. Edited September 5, 2012 by KOTW Content. Guest Saar
Wow, another harrison educated witty retort. Listen Daves, If everyone in town was as balless and compliant as you we would all be screwed. This was a fair warning about a very unfair practice that has gone on long enough and needs to stop. Police officers given a ticket quota that they have to meet by the end of each month. Police being ticket aggressive during the last week of the month better stop. New upscale harrison residents won't want to be heavily ticketed.. If this is who I think it is, That dirty blonde rat faced shrimpy weasel that uses finger cots for birth control. Guest Guest
There are only 3 Police Officers working per shift to protect 20,000 citizens. If each cop is responsible for approximately just under 7,000 residents, not counting illegals then they do not have time to write tickets. At times, two of the three are on traffic posts, leaving one cop to guard the entire town of Harrison. If you get a ticket thru all that you are a real ***hole, no doubt. If the Firemen got out of bed and did the traffic posts then at least you might stand a chance of getting home without being assaulted or going to work and returning home with your possessions still intact. With the 3 Police Officer maximum per shift rule, the town effectively has no militia. Crime going hand-in-hand with unemployment is on the rise so invest in a good pair of running shoes to get away from the Hudson or Essex County criminal of the day. That's thee trajectory your ELECTED officials put the residents on, so deal with your voting choice. The reisidents, in my opinion, should arm themselves for protection. NJ gun laws favor the criminal element by a wide margin. Better to be tried by twelve than carried by six. Buena suerte, hasta manana.
