Your Ideas were great, we all know that you have been following the political course that the town has been taking. Will you please rise up once again, as this forum proves, there are a lot of people that are interested in the truth, not just one political swing on things. You see The Mayor has a certain weatherman in town running a website for the town of Harrison called the Harrison daily. Everything on the website is Pro mayor. Quite recently the website ADDED A DISCUSSION BOARD. Wow. So easy for the Weatherman to easily edit out anything that doesn't praise the mayor's program, And edit out any opposition comments. So The powers that be ARE AFRAID of the power of the truth. and obviously the power of Kearny on the web. Maria and Steve, the ripples you started are still inspiring us to keep the boat rocking. Thanks.

Unfortunately they had the most polarizing ticket in the world. Half the town vehemently hated them. Aren't there any young, educated, outsider professional types residing in the town and commuting to work in NYC or something? I guess it just isn't worth the hassle for anyone with half a brain and the slightest bit of ethics to run against the people here. Besides, the machine is so entrenched in this little town that it is near impossible to defeat the incumbents. When only 10-20% of the residents vote in municipal elections and a sizable portion of those voting are the families of the elected officials or municipal employees and their families (who would have something to lose from a new voice in town) it is basically impossible to win.

I think the best bet we have for change is if the currently elected officials would work on a West Hudson merger with Kearny and East Newark. The new attention that would come and the merged district would force some change in elected officials. Too bad the municipal employees and elected officials really have too much personally to lose by a merger.

Just to clarify ( make something clearer) a very known fact 85 percent of the voters in the town are also town workers. Maybe things would have gone differently if the town workers weren't allowed to vote. The phrase'' Don't rock the boat'' comes to mind.. And fear over losing jobs if you vote out the administration that is signing your check does too.

The Independents have great ideas backed up by facts that have been gone over countless times for mistakes. and none are to be found. just check out their website and decide for yourself.

Any supporters Past and or present of Independents should comment on here. There are a lot of people in town who dislike all the favoritism. so speak up. this is an anonymous post. Steve, and Maria and the rest of their great team would love to hear what your concerns are.

Are there new concerns that need addressing? Just to let you guys know zero progress has been made by the current mayor and council The people of harrison voted in the wrong team that's a fact. ideas, ideas, ideas, ideas.

Guest different thinker.

Wow no town workers have a comeback, Maybe you guys and gals should call who ever tells you what to say, and ask them what you should say to debate this. All the Elk members that are connected and no responses. What really should happen is that a the State should strip the current faction. Have a real televised debate happen with the Independents and the current Mayor and council. Let them debate on Live tv and let people OTHER than town residents from throughout the state of NJ decide and vote that way. Seems like a fair idea that just might work. No favoritism. Only facts.. Good idea or what?
