They scheduled a special meeting for Friday, July 22nd in the board room right before the high school graduation. It looks like they don't want anyone from the public to be able to attend to oppose their choice. So much for the transparency they've been promising everyone. Such an important issue has languished for over a year without any interest and now it's urgent. Guess that the honeymoon is finally over with their interim. They stay behind closed door for a half hour beyond the meeting start time, then zip through the business and let their lawyer do all the talking for them. No dialogue, no discussion, no sense that these people are trying to do right for the people who voted for them. It's like a secret society where only their slippery attorney is permitted to respond to questions. That's probably because most of them would sound like idiots if they ever dared to open their mouths. Now the secret society is in a big hurry to appoint the same guy who - according to the rumor mill - dissed them all the first time they were going to hire him. Am I missing something? Let's bring back the nut job who turned them down months ago in their psuedo quest for a superintendent of schools. Sure. Why not? Beats actually doing some work & looking for a really legitimate candidate. Let's go back to square one & offer it again to the guy from Franklin Lakes. Cause the superintendent of a school district of very few students, all of them with very white faces, would be a perfect fit for Kearny, right? When will the people of this town wake up and realize there's a bunch of (5) clowns running this school district right into the ground? Hope Harrison makes better use of Baumgartner than we did.
