Guest redbullfan
I have noticed that the mayor is following the Governor to various town meetings, what is he up to? begging for another loan ? trying to get another government job ? looking for lunch ? Guest Guest
Mayor McD**ba** has one agenda as a top priority. He is doing all he can to escalate a principle that is ruining the towns economy. The Town of Harrison is not supposed to be the largest employer and employment agency in town. Large scale employment should be attributed to the private sector. When the town government is on course to be the biggest employer in the town with higher paying jobs than the private sector it's a huge problem. Especially when the same families, friends, and relatives are getting these jobs. There has never been a town job posted, "Open to ALL residents." Every job is Harrison is appointed by the Mayor with the highest salaried ones going to the inner circle and family. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. The residents fall into three respective categories: #1 Being town jobs, #2 Being those on public assistance (welfare, section 8, medicaid, food cards, free electricity from PACO + a monthly stipend for each child) and #3 private sector jobs. The layoff BS a while back actually resulted in an increased town payroll with people not getting called back, but rather being replaced by new ass-kissers while the layed-off are still unemployed. The only way to change this is to rally behind someone else. Wisconsin may not have been successfull in recalling the Governor, but maybe little ol' Harrison could make headlines by recalling the Mayor. That would send a nice message and make one big family of nepotism given jobs a thing of the past with ALL citizens getting a shot at a job, NOT JUST APPOINTMENTS. Harrison's apartheid gov't also needs to end. Almost every high paying, and lower ones do not take into account the diverse ethnic population population of Harrison. If Harrison were 99% white, the current ratio might be acceptable. But that is far from the case. There is not one minority dept.head or hardly any workers either. Many Portugese, Hispanic, Orientals and others are not represented anywhere in Harrison except for 2 crony puppets on the Council. This town needs a good going over by the Feds and AG for bias hiring practices not only according to race but to other discriminatory practice in general. Good luck to all. Those are my opinions. Guest changeling
you are right! no jobs on the town are ever posted. the in crowd( the chosen ones, who think they're better than everyone else, and walk around like their shit don't stink) get the jobs! it's all bullshit, but it seems like no one at government level wants to investigate , or do anything about it!once again i ask, how does a guy , who was hired as a laborer become a dept head in 4,-5 months? how do these dusche bags pass a 40 million dollar bond without the people voting on it? only in harrison!!!!! the former police chief , and fire chief retire, and come back to get another paycheck, and take away a job that some one else ,thst needs it could have had!and yes the gardens... how can a family have 6, or 7 of it's family members get thrir own apartments ? what's wrong HERE????? what about the so called union for the d.p.w. workers who where laid off ? the union let the town keep people that had less time than some of the guys that got axed! hey what happened to you other guys at the dpw ? how come you didn't speak up for your union brothers??? no spines- you cowards!!!! and now they hire two connected guys! what about the guys that got laid off ??? only in HARRISON ! Guest Guest
The problem is the fact that if you speak up the HCDO will bury you and any others family members that are working for the town or county. Plus, a six figure job for doing almost nothing doesn't come around too often so why speak up. That post was dead on target. The main corruption is not in directly taking money, but indirectly taking it on the side from someone you give a job to. The in-crowd get six figures a year, and they pay rent to stay in the position. Like street level drug dealers paying to "rent" a busy corner from a major dealer. Same crap. Why were other people hired instead of the one's that were laid off. and the former super who retired, and was just rehired by the board of ed ? these people are bleeding the town dry! when will you people of harrison wake up? what about all this development going on? usually the town will get the developers to build a senior center, or something to benefit the town. i say turn all the cronies upside down, and see what falls from their pockets! Guest Guest
Chapstick, and drink stirrers from The Polish Home would fall out of their pockets if you turned them upside down. It might be a good idea to get a search engine like Yahoo to be able to post these comments on, Then when someone types in Red Bulls or Harrison NJ then that person , from anywhere in the world ,could see the truth behind a once great industry town now rotten inside with corruption. There are smart good people waiting to take over the town and change the old guard. just google Harrison Independents for Change.
