New energy technologies and the right wing

The incessant rantings of 2stupid4words and PackRat would be funny if they weren't influencing American energy policy. They complain about gas prices, which is understandable but then they have only contempt for new energy technologies. These new technologies are already being applied, it's just a matter of making them cost effective.

2stupid and Packie don't seem to realize - and can't even figure it out after they're told - that they're just spitting out the corporate line they hear on Fox. That's where they get this stuff. Fox is a mouthpiece for the oil industry. So 2stupid and Packie throw their political support to people whose interests are in keeping us under the thumb of big oil.

Because goodness knows, we wouldn't want to get our energy directly from the sun and wind without having to spend trillions of dollars making the Saudis rich.

Since when has America been about this sneering contempt toward new technologies?

I don't know whether 2stupid and Packie are Patriots but it's obvious they're not very bright.

Who stopped the Wind farms off Martha's Vinyard?? (That would be the Kennedy's) Who KEEPS the wind farms from being placed off the NJ Coast??? ( that would be the Dems) There is nothing wrong with using Alternate Methods to supplement traditional means while the technology is being tweaked and made more efficient, It's pretty sad that portions of Europe for example get up to 85% of their Electricity from Nuclear, while we get barely 15%...and the reasons THOSE plants have been blocked and no licenses have been issued also lies with someone other than the republicans.

First, that's not true. If it was, then Republicans wouldn't keep sloganizing "drill, baby, drill." Republicans and their oil company masters are whining that President Obama has invested in green technologies.

Second, I was referring to the idiot who keeps posting here against everything President Obama does, including investments in green technologies. I didn't bring up either political party, you did.

Third and most important, since we agree that green technologies are a good idea, let's get it done. If you'll provide some links of Democrats blocking wind farms of the NJ coast, I'll contact the offending parties and do what I can about it.

Not true???

Well, here's #1 (Kennedy's blocking) http://www.upi.com/T...49571146434349/

as for Republicans blocking it. Gov Christie doesnt (From Wiki) Soon after, the New Jersey Legislature created and the governor signed the Offshore Wind Economic Development Act. The law provides for financial incentives and tax credits to support offshore wind projects. It also authorized a new Offshore Wind Renewable Energy Certificate (OREC) program and rules that developers must follow to obtain approval and receive ORECs.[104][105][106]http://www.ask.com/w...e_United_States

According to Poll data, 77% of NJ residents favor offshore wind farms, yet they've been blocked until 2010, when the OREC program was passed..who controls the NJ legislature???

That's right, it's not true.

Cape Cod is off Massachusetts, not New Jersey. I know what the New Jersey legislature, the governor’s office, tax credits and wind power are.

If you’re going to use links to prove your point, then link to things that bear on the point. The only links that have anything directly to do with the point indicate that Gov. Christie signed the law. That means that the legislation wasn’t blocked. So because the New Jersey legislature is Democratic, you should thank the Democrats for passing the bill, instead of making false accusations against an entire political party, with an argument that isn’t even on point.
