More food stamps on the way.

With gas prices already the highest in history for this time of year and going higher daily, there will be more and more food stamps handed out by our "food stamp president". I guess the 49% of taxpayers that already pay ALL federal taxes will have to dig a little deeper to pay "their fair share".

The "most dangerous president" is living up to his billing. zerO has added 5 trillion to the debt in 3 years, blew billions on his "green" fiasco, drove the unemployment up and failed to deliver on every promise he made while campaigning.

FYI, Remember the promise he made to close Gitmo?? Well, zerO is spending $750,000. to build a new soccer field for the terrorists being held there. I guess he won't be closing Gitmo anytime soon.

For starters, gas prices are not the highest in history. That's lie number one.

Second, if your predictions were accurate, we'd be discussing President Giuliani.

Third, green technologies are essential for our future. The right wing opposes them because they're in bed with the oil industry, which wants to keep making profits, no matter how dangerous our dependence on oil is to the country. There's no fiasco. We made an investment in green technologies, prices fell and a company didn't survive. That doesn't mean the project isn't necessary. Your argument is like saying we should have pulled the troops home from World War II if we lost a single battle, or abandoned the Apollo mission because one of the spaceships burned.

Fourth, you can mock all you want. What you can't do, and don't even try to do, is explain why CEOs who ruin companies should make $20 million dollars a year and pay lower taxes than the people they put out of work. You're a sheep. You repeat whatever Fox Noise tells you to think.

Fifth, the claim that President Obama drove up the unemployment rate is just a lie. The unemployment rate rose because of the economic collapse that occurred under Alcoholic Frat-boy.

Sixth, the person you're calling the most dangerous president is in fact one of our best. He has kept America safe, without any significant terrorist attacks against us in more than three years he has been in office. He has weakened Al Qaeda and restored American standing in the world. Only a right wing nutcake would call him dangerous to our country. So it's no surprise that you keep doing it.

What's going to happen is that the economy will continue to recover, consumer confidence will continue to rise, the unemployment rate will continue to drop and President Obama will be re-elected. And of course you'll keep whining.

OMG, I've never read a post that was so full of nonsense and false data.

You would think that a high school teacher would back up a statement like that with facts and reason, the way the students are taught to write papers in high school.

Like what? You explain why CEOs should be allowed to ruin companies, put thousands of people out of work and walk away with multi-million dollar golden parachutes.

You explain why hedge fund managers should be allowed to make fortunes with wild speculation (search "hedge") that destabilizes our economy and leaves all of us vulnerable. And if government shouldn’t pick winners and losers, you explain why some corporations get huge tax breaks while others don’t, why we’re taxing unearned income at a lower rate than earned income and why we are subsidizing private companies, including the oil companies.

You explain why we’ve done little-to-nothing to invest in new energy technologies over the past forty years, when we've known the entire time that our dependence on oil was bleeding our economy and making us vulnerable to foreign countries that don’t like us, thereby undermining national security. There’s one answer: the oil companies have been allowed to dictate American energy policy, which means that corporate interests have been placed ahead of the interests of the American people. But that’s not the answer you like, is it, “Kearny HS teacher.”

You explain why the unemployment rate rose sharply during the final year of Bush’s second term, and continued to rise for a few months after President Obama took office, then turned around and has been declining since. You explain why President Obama was able to oversee the capture and/or killing of most of Al Qaeda’s leaders when Alcoholic Frat-boy couldn’t. Is this how you're "teaching" your students? Schoolteachers should know better than to make blanket statements without supporting them. Shame on you.

This person is no more a teacher than "Patriot" is a patriot.

No one can get elected to any political office saying this but the American people as a whole are disgusting, selfish pigs who would sooner see their children starve forty years from now than pay 50 cents more at the gas pump this summer. The ethic that built this country is all but dead and it didn't die from the left; it died from the right.

Sad but true. Historically, whenever people have had a lot, they came to think they were entitled to it. Greed replaced community spirit, which is part of patriotism. And here we are, richer than any people before us, unhappy and angry. And of course, it's everyone's fault but our own.
