Lowest personnel in both departments' histories. Wait till you need the fire department and they show up with 6 firefighters!!! No shame whatsoever........ the bagpiper will have a job either at the BOE, his cousin Jim will make sure of that or they will make up a new job title just to keep him on the town payroll. Was it for hiding under their beds at the frat house and watching it on the 56" color flat screen TV, riding around town on an engine with their chests puffed out, or eating free food from people bringing it to the firehouse. I hope they ate what I dropped off, yuck, a surprize in every bite. I realize the terrorist scumbags were actually headed to hit Harrison Town Hall but overshot and hit the WTC. Lucky they got scared of the HFD at the last minutes of their Fatwa because of the brave tales of the HFD told in the mountains of Afganistan. If they hit town hall they may have taken out 15 overpaid secretaries doing nothing and the cheap bas***** at Enzo's would be sending an inflated bill to FEMA. In my opinion, The overpaid HFD's reputation prevented a trajedy in town. Really, what heck did they do to help anyone except beg like common street urchins for money? Your guess is as good as mine? The 9/11 Ceremony was run by the Harrison East Newark Elks Lodge #2326 with the help of Mayor McDonough and the Harrison Town Council. Master of Ceremony was Exalted Ruler Larry Bennett of the Elks Lodge. Everything was set up by the Elks including the guest speaker retired New York City Fireman and singer Bob Polding. The Exalted Ruler and the Elks Members did a great job and it was a total Community effort by all including the Harrison Fire and Police Departments,American Legion,V.F.W.,Harrison High School Band Members , Bob Polding Band and Bagpiper Jim Woods. Guest Guest Posted September 24, 2011 Report Share Posted September 24, 2011 I remember after 9/11/01 Larry Bennet stood up on stage in library park with McMole and his stooges and swore that Bin Laden could kiss his white *** and vowed to join the hunt for Bin Laden. How ironic. The only one kissing *** was Bennet to the Mayor to get on the Council. It's pathetic how the little man was the one doing the *** kissing. No morals, no values, just perceived importance and a job title. If Bin Laden offered him a job he would have flown to Afghanistan with a towel wrapped around his head. This is what you voted for?
