2nd round of layoffs

Before November McMole is going to promise that there will be no more terminations of town jobs. If you are a town worker making less than say $40,000.00/year you should OPEN YOUR EYES and should already be sending out resumes. The politicians never even discuss or care about your personal situation at home. Your health benefits are going to be gone, thats a given. They always start with the lower paying jobs on their hit list because you are crazy to think that giving up three or four low paying to preserve their nepotism and cronyism jobs of more than $100,000.00/year jobs is just not gonna happen. Its obvious. Talk to the people thrown overboard on the first hit list and listen to their story because after November you are going overboard just like them. The ONLY chance you have of preserving, on a personal level, the job and benefits affecting your family by a false promise is to rid yourself of the cancerous people currently running the show. As it is, you probably already not paying your car insurance and your mortgage and food money, along with any chance on sendind your child onto higher education is gone. At least try to hold onto what you already have by getting someone who possesses more than a G.E.D. (Good Enough Diploma) in office. Support the underpriveled by sending a career politician to high school. Good luck and heed my words. The bad news is already on the way.

they just hired a young guy to drive the bus that **** was driving? hey what happened to the hiring freeze????? tey are going to move **** to the street dept. hey mr mayor, what about the guys that were layed off? arent they supposed to be called back, before anyone else? where's you loyalty

I've heard this through some town employees up there. Guess its like last time, they give you a raise, retroactive pay for past 2 years, and at next town meeting they lay you off. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE YOU VOTED FOR. THEY ONLY CARE OF WHATS IN IT FOR THEM NOT YOU THE TOWN EMPLOYEE. BUT CAN YOU PLEASE HELP WITH THE MCDONOUGH CAMPAIGN SO THEY CAN KICK YOU TO THE CURB AFTER. The 2nd round of layoffs should be interesting. Many crossing guards, senior citzens who are forced to work at this later stage in life to supplement their pittance from social security will probably go first. Then low paying clerks and street dept. workers. But what about the $80,000.00 per year transport officer that someone offered to do for $24,000.00. I would bet my house on the fact that he or the $120,000 per year secretary and him, Mr. trucking company 20 hr.a day exucutive, won't even be considered. The current career politicians are just looting the taxpayers money just like the Wall St. executives did before their companies went belly-up. Then they will skip town for their home down the shore, say F**K all of you, and blame the financial problems on the incoming crew. Its classic Hudson County politics. Get as much as you can as fast as you can then take off, just like Bobby J., Tanski, and many others who are receiving PENSIONS in the $100,000.00 range. Thats more than the average Harrisonian in the private sector will amke in the next three years. Yet you continue to vote these people into office until they bail out. Look at the tax collector and beautifictation officer who together, as husband wife, were pulling in $400,000.00 per year. Do the math. At 65 or 70 percent pensions each plus lfetime benefits, thats quite a haul. More than you'll ever see if you work until you're 500 years old.
