Hypocrisy of the Dems.

When Nancy Pelosi became speaker she vowed to "drain the swamp". "There would be no tolerance of any wrong doing in this administration". Great!

So you might ask, why has she been mute over Charlie Rangel's income tax evasion which is two years old. Anyone else would be in jail at this point and only last week he was asked to step down from his chairmanship of his committee, but he still has his job.

And then there's the homo Massa. Pelosi has known about the complaints from staffers over his behavior for over a year but again she's been mute until it blew up this week and she couldn't ignore it any more.

Could it be Nancy's silence on these two felons is because they're both democrats?? So all that talk on draining the swamp must have meant only if it was a republican who committed these crimes.

I guess she's only following the example of Obama to say anything at anytime to anyone, if it works for you at the time. 8 more months and this nightmare is over.

1. Rangel stepped down from the chairmanship of Ways and Means. I agree investigations take too long. By the way, the tax evasion was Rangel's failure to declare the occasional rental income he received on a vacation home in the Dominican Republic. Be careful what you wish for, because that drain will S**K up other Congress reps on both sides of the aisle. And by the way, by the way, it was the New York Times that broke the story on Rangel.

2. Massa is bizarre. But what's the felony? Unlike former Republican Congressman Mark Foley who sent explicit e-mails to underage male pages, this involves a very strange situation of several adults living together.

3. You omit the news released last Wednesday of an actual ongoing felony investigation. Is it because it's a Republican Senator? In case you missed it:

Previously undisclosed e-mail messages turned over to the F.B.I. and Senate ethics investigators provide new evidence about Senator John Ensign’s efforts to steer lobbying work to the embittered husband of his former mistress and could deepen his legal and political troubles.

Mr. Ensign, Republican of Nevada, suggested that a Las Vegas development firm hire the husband, Douglas Hampton, after it had sought the senator’s help on several energy projects in 2008, according to e-mail messages and interviews with company executives.

The messages are the first written records from Mr. Ensign documenting his efforts to find clients for Mr. Hampton, a top aide and close friend, after the senator had an affair with his wife, Cynthia Hampton. They appear to undercut the senator’s assertion that he did not know the work might involve Congressional lobbying, which could violate a federal ban on such activities by staff members for a year after leaving government.

The e-mail messages also hint at what Mr. Ensign’s office now says was an effort by the Las Vegas firm, a small energy investment business called P2SA Equity, to improperly link Mr. Ensign’s possible assistance to a promised donation.

The F.B.I. and the Senate Ethics Committee are investigating whether Mr. Ensign, in trying to contain the fallout from his affair with Ms. Hampton, conspired to find lobbying work for her husband despite the federal restrictions. They are also examining a $96,000 payment Mr. Ensign’s parents made to the Hamptons.

Dear Ignorant, Brainless Right-Wing Scumbag:

1. The nightmare was when Cowboy Goofball turned a surplus into a deficit, gave our money away to billionaires who didn't earn it, tanked the economy, got us into two wars and ignored all of our long-term problems because his rich friends were doing just fine. Hell yes, why invest in solar or wind or geothermal or even nuclear when Exxon/Mobil is making record profits? Why care whether people are going bankrupt because even the ones with health insurance don't have decent coverage - the insurance companies are getting rich and their executives are getting $20 Million/year bonuses, so everything must be fine, right? You're an idiot!

2. Pelosi could only vow to drain the swamp because there was a swamp to drain. The Republican scumbags who controlled the Congress for most of the past decade had more corruption than all the Democrats combined. But it doesn't matter because the only way to solve it is to keep money out of politics. There's only one party that has any members who care about that and they are becoming as rare as hens' teeth. You and your right wing dimwits are well on the way to destroying the system that worked for us for a very long time.

3. You're blind as a bat and as stupid as a fence post. The Republicans are bought and paid for by big oil, big insurance - all the big guys and screw the little guys. You're stupid enough to think that government is the problem because that was one of Reagan's platitudes. But the fact is that without government, the big corporations control everything. So we have our choice. We can have the corporations run everything with no check and balance, or we can have a strong government to make sure ordinary people have a fighting chance.

But now the system is corrupt and both parties are infected. That's because the Republicans got their way and prevented any meaningful campaign finance reform because morons like you don't want government involved in anything, even our elections. What little regulation we had was just struck down by five right wing hacks on the Supreme Court, put there by Republican presidents with an announced political agenda. Why not just rip the Constitution up completely? You obviously don't give a damn about what it was supposed to mean - or you're too freaking stupid to understand it.

Look, Bozo: If we do it your way, we'll have another economic collapse, the middle class will continue to decline, we'll continue to send hundreds of billions of dollars overseas every year to pay for foreign oil and a wealthy few will continue to hoard more and more of the wealth. What's your problem - don't you think one percent of the people owning fifty percent of the wealth is enough, you want them to have more? Well, they're going to get it if the Republicans get back in. Only there won't be as much American wealth for them to have because the Chinese and maybe the Indians are going to eat us alive if we don't wake up and recognize that we have to invest and compete. Meanwhile, average Americans will fall farther and farther behind. How bad does it have to get before you realize that your demented talking points aren't reality; people's lives are reality.

You're hot and bothered because if we do it our way, you'll have to pay taxes. But guess what, Dumbo, you're going to pay taxes anyway. The government is there to take care of things that the private market can't address like investments in new energy sources and infrastructure. That will not happen if Republicans get back in power. If you think that by electing Republicans you're going to make the government smaller, then you're even dumber than you seem to be - and that's about as dumb as it gets.
