Things never change in Kearny.

The question is. Who is the dumb a-- who decided to close off Passaic Ave right before the holidays,or for that matter in the winter when everyone is in town ,not on vacation like the summer time. Supposedly they are supposed to resurface the black top above the bridge. If this is the case even the dumbest person knows that black top takes better in the summer when it is hot out so it settles and has a chance to dry properly. The road has been closed for close to a month now and nothing has been done yet. I beleive the papers said there could be a delay in the work due to the weather conditions, well that is what the winter is all about ,weather conditions. This is nothing but a huge problem for everyone and totaly not fair to the poeple of Kearny. All this did was cause accidents and waist gas for everyone.

You would think K.P.D would help alittle at main intersections and assist the traffic. Asleep again.

it's a county road, the town and kpd had nothing to do with the planing or timing of that

#1 Passaic Avenue is a County Road, therefore you may thank the County Engineers for this decision.

#2 Passaic Ave is a COUNTY ROAD. KPD was originally supposed to provide Traffic. Decisions were made by the Politicians to have the Sheriff's Office do it instead, and KPD was shut out of the project. You can get pissy all you want at the PD, but this one isnt on them. Of course 90% of the problems come from Douchebags who refuse to follow the detours, and then go past the signs onto non-traffic ligh streets, which is the REASON traffic gets messed up. But it's MUCH easier to blame the cops than the a-hole drivers, isnt it???

The dumb a** is the mayor you all voted in again! More wasted spending again. We have one of the best police forces in the state of NEW JERSEY. So don"t blame them for the stupid decision made by the mayor.

This one isn ton Short-Bus Alberto for a change, other than maybe the fact he does work for the County. Passaic Ave is a County road not a town street so ALL decisions came from Newark Ave, not Kearny Ave on this project.

What I want to know is why wasn't the "Old Passaic Ave" re-opened temporarily. Could of put a blinking red/yellow light right on the midland curve and put a cop there during morning rush/evening rush... and only make commercial trucks detour.

The mayor has a say in the matter. How about the fact that local businesses were affected by the closure and the ridiculous traffic on the avenue. He represents us, the taxpayers and he should have voiced his displeasure to the county, but no, he won't do that because he works for the county.

Also, the stupid planning of detouring the south bound traffic right passed a playground (manor park) has to be by far the worst decision made!!! That's an accident waiting to happen!!!!
