Hudson County sweep?

Hey, any of our esteemed town leaders swept up with the other Hudson County money laundering trash this morning?

All morning long I have been receiving calls from people commenting on the latest round of arrests for political corruption in Hudson County. I keep pointing out, proudly, that no one in Harrison has been mentioned, giving the slightest whiff of wrong doing. Under the leadership of Mayor Mac, and our Town council, hundreds of millions have changed hands with developers without the slightest hint of anything being amiss. I'm so proud to be a Harrisonian.

You have to excuse me now, I have to go to confession.

No, They are not doing anything wrong. The Feds have nothing on them and besides they don't have the balls to come to Harrison.

What makes you think that they are doing anything wrong. Let the Fed come. They will be taken care of just like the so called State watchdogs. They are a joke and have been dealt with.

Why don't all you do gooders just move and let the system work.

Corruption in reverse? In many towns when developers want to build something they grease the wheels by paying off town inspectors and politicians to accomplish that. In Harrison, the town floats bonds to pay for whatever the developers want to build, at the taxpayers expense. Then the developer makes a large donation to the Harrison Democratic organization. There is no corruption. Everyone is happy, all at the taxpayers expense.

Maybe, that's where the money came from which was donated to the party. They could not account where the money came from. It certainly did not come from the cocktail party sales.

They don't have the ability to shake down the workers like Rodgers did. There are laws now which they have to abide by.

I never thought about that angle. Good thinking.
