New Jersey has been the most tolerant state in this country, even before we were a country. Where is this coming from?? Racist New Jerseyites, please move west or south where you belong. Get this racist, jingoist, faux-patriotism f***ing out of here. Please. Get the f*** out.

"I dont agree with what you say or your opinions, so I want them Supressed so i dont have to evr see anything I dont agree with"

It's the standard cry of the Liberal Socialist.... When it's THEIR views the First Ammendment is Paramount. When it Disagrees with their narrow little worldview it must be stopped.

(for the record, i am white, of scottish and italian descent. and yes, my family has been here for a long time.)

the above rant was not meant to be a manifesto by any means, it's exactly what i just called it, a rant. don't even think about judging my intelligence based on that. i was just shocked to see posts such as "BE PROUD TO BE WHITE" on the "Kearny on the Web" board. I've always admired the diversity of this town and the way so many cultures and ethnic groups are able to co-exist peacefully. Now of course I knew there were pockets of it here and there, but I didn't think there was so much "white pride" (a ridiculous notion) in this town. It's just unsettling, and I apologize for my caustic response. But honestly, "white pride????" It's really hard to hold back my urge to say SHUT THE F*** UP now. Ah whatever: SHUT THE F*** UP!

I tend to stand up to racists in person. I've done it on numerous occasions actually. I don't really think it takes balls. Despite being ingorant-as-f**k racists, the people I stand up to are usually adults. They engage me in debate with their misinformed rationalizations of hate, I give them my view, and if things get too heated him or myself will get up and leave.

Are we on a school yard here? Why are we threatening people now? I really don't think these type of posts can lead anything productive. I could just as easily ask why you won't put a face on your post, but you'll say something like "in this world, if you get caught saying something about black people, the pc left will crucify you." Okay. Whatever. I don't care about your real name anyway, sir. I'm not for censorship at all, but the Administrator shouldn't allow threats or provokations through. Just a thought.

Respectfully,

Craven Moorehead

Why? Do you ever wear a shirt that says " Proud To Be Italian " or " Scottish " ? Well some people are proud to be what they are and if you don't like to read this kind of a post, do like I do, don't click on it, duh!

So being proud to be white is racist, but black power is a sign of advancement :huh::o give me a break you loser...

When you're in the majority and you're whining, it's usually because you're not being allowed to push the minority around any more. In a country like the United States, with its long history of racism and maltreatment of multiple racial and ethnic groups, the whining is especially unconvincing.

The united states long history of racism? are you serious? tell me which country you are comparing us too? yes, we have a history of racism, but compared to europe we were saints....How many slaves were in rome? England? Oh so here we go again...those slaves don't count right, because they weren't black...only black people were oppressed.. Only black slaves suffered. The thousands of years of white slaves, or jewish slaves meant nothing...What about Egypt? Yeah, no slavery ever in that country...You need to get your head out of your ass..typical clueless liberal , who knows nothing about history and is quick to bash the USA.

So according to you, only black slaves count...even though our country is still in its infancy compared to the rest of the world, all those other slaves in civilizations do not count, and those countries get a free pass...

So i got it, only blacks can be victims of racism because of americas brief (compared to the rest of the world) period of slavery. Jews and whites can't be victims of anything....we just wind up paying for everything with our tax dollars..

long history huh?

sounds like you think racism was invented here. your best racists were usually targets themselves. i find that most people, no matter who they are, just don't seem to "really" like people who are "different" than themselves. sure maybe some hide it better than others but everyone has their line in the sand. huh?

how about you? cast any stones lately?

Are you saying that morality doesn't matter?

Or are you trying to excuse centuries of forced slavery, killing and dehumanization on the ground that one person here has a foul mouth?

Obviously you'll go to any lengths to avoid having to change your opinion.

Holy crap. You are as stupid as you are ignorant.

Morality only applies to the crusade you're on at the moment, right. The rest of the time you are free to be all the idiot you can be?

As far as an opinion on the matter of excusing the behavior of man for all of recorded history, I don't think I actually stated one.

By the way who does "we" refer to in previous posts? Are you, ( or the guest who posted same) descended from one of the founding fathers of slavery here in the United States?

The last time I checked the family tree, no one, including myself, had any design on celebrating "forced slavery, killing and dehumanization". No one spoke of mounting a campaign to implement the "new world order" plans either.

Obviously you like to be argumentative with no real purpose for it. But you, as I, have all the right to post as we want. So please feel "free" to continue.

This thread traces back to a post that reads:

"Hahahahahhah (lol)

Crusader, save us all. Maybe you should call yourself Mighty Mouse. Coming to save the day. Good for you Mr. Mouse."

That was preceded by another post that implied that the United States doesn't have a long history of racism. Taken together or separately, those posts imply that this history should be ignored because other countries might have been worse.

I don't think the history of slavery is funny, whether it be slavery in the United States or anywhere else. I also don't think our history of having nearly annihilated the Native American peoples is funny. So when I see "Hahahahahhah (lol)" in response to these issues being raised, I'm inclined to think that it's coming from an ignorant jerk, and an immature one at that.

This fits perfectly with the fact that you're making a meaningless argument while accusing someone else of making a meaningless argument. How other countries have abused people does not excuse how we have abused people. Didn't your mother teach you that it's not right just because someone else does it? If you authored either or both of those posts, then you are in no position to call anyone else ignorant.

By contrast, the history of racism and slavery in the United States is not meaningless. Only an ignorant jerk would think that it was.

So by all means, keep posting and I'll keep kicking your sorry, ignorant half be-mind.

Wow, another scholar. Your level of intellect is really underwhelming.

Anyway if this constitutes my "half be-mind" getting a big ol' kickin', well okay then. Have at it. Ooh aah!

Obviously you are not the author of the original post as you have not replied with vulgarity. However my response(s) to that post has obviously caused you some distress.

All the threads are not authored by myself but I won't state which are and which are not as I chose to post anonymously in the first place, c'est la vie. Infer what you will.

You may continue to misread and misinterpret and then misstate anything you want as you misunderstand it to be and you can argue your case for required history lessons for the unimformed, the ignorant and the insensitive and you may continue to think what you want of me.

But re-read the posts and try to open your mind a bit and let the sun shine in. You present as if you're an educated person so it shouldn't be a stretch to assume that you still might figure out what is really being implied - or not implied.

Then Mr. Idle, after you've had a chance to think a bit you can still send me another "half be-mind" - kicking missive and the meaningless argument stuff will continue. Which by the way makes KOTW so priceless.

But while you're at it, let us know what should be done as a country, as "someplace else-Americans" or as human beings for that matter,

to atone for all the wrongs committed by and/or attributed to the United States of America. State your case for why we must assume responsibility for same by simple virtue of being the current inhabitants/ citizens of this North American country.

Recognition and apology and even reparation by the United States on so many injustices has apparently fallen short by yours and many others opinion, (I assume), so what now?

Do you propose an individual accounting of each and all in some public setting? Would that satisfy your ideal of justice for the cause?

Obviously the living will get their say, but the deceased will have to be judged by some critical means so a prejudice can be formed to judge any descendants by.

Don't leave out those in the womb (or soon to be), at what age shall it be decided to indict them?

Ignorance and absurdity go hand in hand. Even when the accused stumps for "truth, justice and the American way", (your American way, ok), or whatever you want to label as meaningful and moral.

PS: See, I can pretend to wield a big boy intellect too. It's easy if you try. Peace otherwise in all that makes us different but the same.

You're the one misreading and misinterpreting. Your questions are answered simply. We should be aware of our history, how it has affected the world and how it affects the perceptions others have of us. We should commit ourselves to not repeating forebears' failings. These are indeed moral standards and I stand by them.

Yes, you can pretend, and you may even have an intellect. But by making fun of this tragic history you have demonstrated ignorance and a lack judgment and maturity.

ok.

But I beseech thee, where, when, did I actually make fun of any "injustice" stated directly or otherwise? I draw attention to an individual and perhaps question his moral compass.

Go back to the post that started this and led to our exchange.

" a long history" - perhaps that is what bothers you so.

Well I'm not ready to condemn a country still in it's youth. Take a good look at the relatively short history it has. Take off the blinders and see it's great strides not just it's stumbles.

Before I go I'll ask again, where it was in my posts, that I condoned the latter or for that matter celebrated the former?

Don't stare at things with such a myopic view of them, you'll never see them for what they are. It wastes really good daylight as well.

Spend a little coin and get glasses, just not those rose - colored ones, I tried that - worked too well.

See you in the funny pages - just making jokes again.

In post 11, I observed that much of the complaining about reverse racism is unconvincing. As just one example, there aren’t enough black folks in the United States to have taken all the jobs white folks claim they were denied. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96561

In post 12 and throughout this discussion, you have tried to deflect attention from American culpability by comparing the United States to other countries with histories of racism. Suggesting that the United States should hold itself to the same standard as nations that existed thousands of years ago in a much more brutal world is lame. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96578

In post 14, the point was made that standards of ethics and morality are not determined by ancient cultures whose standards we have long since repudiated. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96638

Your sarcasm then kicked in at post 15. You didn’t really say anything. You merely demonstrated your contempt toward people who value moral standards. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96644 In post 16, the fact was pointed out. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96654 It’s not clear what you said in post 17, except to reiterate your contemptuousness. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96672

For the fourth time, the discussion was brought back to the issue in post 18, with a reminder that the issue is racism. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96676

In post 19, you denied doing everything you had done. You also set up several straw men while complaining, falsely, that straw men had been set up against you. No one made any of the statements you attack in this post. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96687

You were then reminded of the history of this discussion in post 20. You shouldn’t have required this, but apparently you don’t comprehend what you read. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96693

You then authored a lengthy post berating others for having nothing better to do than post on this forum. In that post, you again knocked down a series of straw men, which only you had raised. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96703

You failure to comprehend was pointed out yet again in post 22, and the discussion was brought back to the subject for the sixth time. http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96710

Your latest is post 23, in which you offer the following flights of illogic, which I will now proceed to rip apart before your still undiscerning eyes.

But I beseech thee, where, when, did I actually make fun of any "injustice" stated directly or otherwise?

Before I go I'll ask again, where it was in my posts, that I condoned the latter or for that matter celebrated the former?

That question was already answered: http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php...ost&p=96644

I draw attention to an individual and perhaps question his moral compass.

I see no comments that draw attention to any individual. Perhaps you could point out and explain your reference.

" a long history" - perhaps that is what bothers you so. Well I'm not ready to condemn a country still in it's youth. Take a good look at the relatively short history it has. Take off the blinders and see it's great strides not just it's stumbles.

You’re inserting your own additions into the critique. No one is saying that the country should be condemned. This was pointed out in post 22 (http://forums.kearnyontheweb.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=26490&view=findpost&p=96710 ) but you choose to ignore it.

Your other remarks are characterizations that need no comment.

In sum, you characterize the Unites States as a nation in its youth. By historic standards that is true. However, morality is not judged by how long a nation has existed. These ethical and moral principles are basic.

We are the most powerful nation on Earth and have always been among the best educated. We do not need additional years of maturing to practice simple moral principles. Nothing in our relative “youth” as a nation in any way excuses our history of slavery or the century of widespread condoned racism that followed. This didn’t happen because ours was a “new” country. It happened because people were willing to overlook the morals they claimed to believe in when it suited them to do it.

I agree with you that the United States has also made great strides in this area but that does not justify mocking those who think we should hold ourselves to the highest standards. At best, your characterization is a lame excuse for not living up to our moral capacity. There is no other reason to raise the point, and no good alternative explanation for why you raised it in a mocking fashion.

A lot of time you must have. To spend it here so often is curious. However ...

Why do I need to point out what my posts refer to? You love that straw men crap, read better friend, really.

Read the entire discussion from your original post. This is all about you telling other people this.

I assume you think south western Americans are racists? Where do the racists spawn?

No one is a racist until someone "different" does something the "racist" doesn't like. Moves in next door and plays "their" music all weekend. Drives erratically ignoring all the "rules" of proper driving. Takes a few minutes longer in the checkout line paying with welfare and/or WIC vouchers. Interacts with him and the english spoken is less than perfect to understand. The "part-time" racist is born. Does such an animal exist?

Where do you draw the line? Can you honestly say you're above being a part time racist? To me, your ignorance is that you think you're above racism because you champion the cause for laying the blame for the past. Racism lives just under the surface of your skin, waiting for the break. How thick is your skin?

Hey, I can only assume you meant relocate in the best way. Simple moral principles - not at work.

Spare me the "mocking" and the lame excuse BS tags already, only you have ever let it roll off your fingertips that it is that.

We (US) are most powerful and so highly educated. Yet here we are, most intolerant and so highly arrogant. All that power and education wielded in our infancy created what we recognize as American History.

There was "oversight"? Some people overlooked questionable behavior? Not by those running the show, they were the ones implementing policy, exactly as they wanted to.

You're right we don't need maturing, we should be doing the "right thing" for all people by now. How does that get done? We're educated and most powerful still.

You're good at calling people out on KOTW or similar type boards (I would assume you seek out injustice everywhere). You want to crusade. You want to lay the blame at someone (or country); point out the wrong and call for action or justice. But you have no answer, no solution. I don't read about you in the press. I don't see your cause covered by any "news" reporter on my tv set so I guess we're lucky to have you here.

This is such a burning topic for you. How can you do nothing except reply to me? You waste your time on someone as ignorant as me? I hardly seem worth all the ego stroking.

You attack words on a website as if that makes you noble. Just like the men who framed our constitution and freed our country from imperialist rule, noblemen.

Only they truly wanted to make a difference and they would back up the words, moral or not in their souls, with action.

As much as I am impressed with your cut and paste ( and I always am) I really have no use for the game. Your attention to detail, your conviction to an intellectual, written discourse on the topic is good compared to the crap you wrote to start this post, but our exchange my friend, is a dead horse. I do not care for the "you write then I write" pissing contest.

Reply, as you must. Your friend and compatriot.
