The car iis built by Mercedes Benz and cost $14,800. They are going to use it at the Hudson Mall. How about getting the companies in the redevelopment area to donate a smart car to the HPD. It could have many uses. What uses? Put the Quick Chek cop in it? Put 8 of the under 4 foot tall cops in it? Better yet park it in the Detective Bureau. The only problem with that idea is that after a couple of months in the DB the smart car will get no excerise and will be the size of Hummer! The fire department this and the police department that, give it up - I think the police department has done a fine job keeping Harrison safe for so long considering the towns we are bordered by and the same goes for the fire department. I mean if you have something to say, just confront the person you have a problem with instead of posting on a website which does absolutely nothing. I don't understand these people that complain about the fire department having nothing to do. Isn't that a good thing that there are not that many fires in town? I certainly think so. I do agree though, that perhaps we can downsize somewhat, but don't get rid of the department entirely. I also agree that posting your gripes here is worthless.
