The author, Celeste Regal, says she couldnt understand why the chief didn't report the prostitution crimes in Harrison. Miss Regal, do you have a clue how prostitution crimes are reported? They are listed as disorderly persons offenses. There is no index on the UCR for prostitution. Not only were you way wrong in your editorial, you owe the Chief a serious apology. He should learn never to write a letter to the newspaper or give a interview to a reporter. All their looking for is to sensationalize news against the PD. He should stick to the format of having the Public Information Officer release information about crime and other police topics. Stay above the fray.
