A new plan proposed would allow government to take control of your 401K.

As of now, this is not a plan tied to Barack Obama, it is being pushed by some economists of the New School, and some congressional Democrats. Time will tell if a President Obama would support this plan, but this is one of those government programs that scares me.

Gone would be the days of you being in control of your retirement investments. Also, the incentive to provide for your own future, through IRA tax deductions, would be gone. The deductions would be replaced by a FLAT rate applied to each account regardless of your income tax bracket. (Folks, this proposal is socialism to its very core.)

I included the link above so people can look into it themselves. I won't try to tell anyone what to do, only brought to light a problematic proposal.

Again, there is no evidence that Obama supports, or is even aware of this proposal, (since he has been away from his day job for quite some time), so this is not a reflection on the presidential race; raises concerns for super majorities, though.

When did Katie Couric ask those questions about McCain/Palin, I must have missed it.

Also, I said it is being PROPOSED, nobody knows how it will end up, but rest assured the information that it is being considered is accurate. Go ahead and google it; no need to take my word for it. Though I do apologize for using a blogger as my link; bloggers by themselves are not good sources.
