It is a real shame and a smack in the face of every parent who has kids in the Kearny School District, especialy the High School. Being a parent who knows alot of people in the school district and involved in two womans clubs in Kearny I am highly disapointed in the way the district is willing to accept anyone who is willing to put there name up for election it be on the Board Of Education.The members are anyone and know one, drunks, primadonna's. They have no qualifications to make very important decisions reguarding school protocal the people who get hired are the people who guide your kids through their critical learning period in school and especialy High School.Some members have no kids in the district, others send there kids to private school because they know that Kearny is not good enough for there kids like *** * on the board, yet they are the ones who make the decisions for your kids. The ********* of the **** ****** who was just a glorified Gym tercher has obviously nothing between his l--- and will not even stand up for what's moraly correct for his school and a the reputation of his school.

This kind of post is the reason politics makes no sense. Who do you think is going to run for the Board of Education? There aren't enough candidates as it is. The ones who are there are, by and large, the most qualified ones who ran. I realize that's not saying much in some cases (e.g., John Campbell), but the two candidates he defeated were Castelli (a hot-headed jerk whose political life is all for show) and a new guy who was mainly out of town during most of the campaign. So while Campbell is woefully ignorant and essentially incompetent, despite several years on the Board, he essentially won by default.

When you come up with a slate of responsible and knowledgeable candidates, let us know. Until then, you're talking like a fool.

Most of your mistakes are misprints, but especially has two l's, so does finally, so does morally, protocol is spelled this way, some apostrophes are necessary in multiple places, and that's not even the half of it. Unfortunately I know what you are writing about, but it is not the BOE...the poor hiring practices come from the administration (esp. at the HS level). The administration 'recommends' to the BOE who they want to hire. Unfortunately, who they recommend is / are usually not the best or most qualified. Your chances of being promoted for hard work if you are female are virtually nill unless you are 'friends' with someone in a position to hire or promote you. Look at the new recommendation for Business Dept Chair. Check out HIS qualifications compared to those of another in the business dept (of course this applicant was a HER). She, hands down was the most qualified. Heck, she is probably more qualified then most of the current administration at the HS. What a loss for our kids.
