Did anyone attend the council meeting at 12pm on August 4th where ordinances 48 and 49 were adopted?

Did anyone even hear about this meeting before it took place?

If this is true, it is just outragious. I didn't see it advertised anywhere. What were ordinances 48 and 49 concerning ?? Obviously something they didn't want the residents to know about.

Unfortunatly it was advertised in The New Jersey Plain Dealer newspaper. Which is no longer sold in Harrison.

Harrison must be unique in all the world. Where else could there possibly be a town where the mayor can borrows $40,000,000 without so much as a peep of protest from the residents, where the mayor can hold council meetings that the residents are unaware of, where the town council never votes against the mayor, where the mayor thinks building 6,000 new housing units is a good idea when the schools are already overcrowded, where the mayor thinks building a 20,000 seat stadium in a square mile town with traffic already rediculous is a good idea and where the mayor doesn't appear to care what the residents think.

And what is truly amazing is the mayor expects to get re-elected.

Towns can choose which newspaper to use for their legal notices. Don't you think Harrison would choose the Jersey Journal, which is widely read in Harrison ?? Of course not. THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO BE AWARE OF WHAT THEY'RE DOING .
