I have family still living their so I check out this site every once in a while to see what is going on. As I read different post I feel so bad that all of these problems are occuring. Alot of the post are a little crazy but this one takes the cake. With everything that is going wrong in Harrison you are worried about a yellow stripe on the police officers pants. Are you kidding me. If this is the biggest problem you can see I feel really sorry for you. Harrison was a wonderful town to grow up in and go to school. When I return to visit family I look around and feel so sad. Come on people wake up and look around, if you put as much energy in trying to help put Harrison back together as you do worrying about stupid things like a yellow stripe on police pants Harrison could be a much better place to live. When you have a mayor and council like we have, energy won't do squat. We don't have enough classrooms for our kids, but we just donated $40,000,000 to help build a soccer stadium. We allow a 3-family house to be built on every undersized lot in town. Nepotism is an accepted practice. Parking in town is impossible so they decide to build 7,000 new housing units. All of this is being done without the residents ever being asked what they think. Council meetings are without an open public session. You say you don't live in Harrison, I'll bet the town you live in has open public sessions at their council meetings. Harrison looks like the ghetto. It absolutly filthy. Car doubled parked all over like down neck Newark. I tried to drive down Central Avenue...what a joke. I'm not talking about political problems that has always been the case in Harrison. I am talking about the filth, 2 houses being built where there used to be one, double parking, etc....
