NOT ONLY DO THE ELKS DO THESE DINNERS WITH THE KNIGHTS, BUT THEY DELIVER TURKEYS AND FOOD TO NEEDY FAMILIES... THIS WAS STARTED A FEW YEARS AGO BY TWO VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE, VERY ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE ELKS LODGE. I WOULD LIKE TO APPLAUD JOHN LUCIANO AND LARRY BENNETT FOR STARTING THIS, AND KEEPING IT GOING. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

Whom ever takes the credit for this wonderfull thing that the Knights and the Elks do, it does not matter, what matters is that people are taken care of and thought of on a family holiday that we all enjoy with our families. Thank you all that help and support this great thing. So whether you are the Dolaghans or Larry or John, (the people the need the credit), it is not about you, it is about the people which you are feeding and making happy, not about whomever gets in the picture for the newspaper (Larry) but about what you do. Thank you again all the people that help and take time from their day to do such a wonderfull thing.

BUT THE PROBLEM THERE IS, IT IS NOT THE NEEDY FAMILY THAT GET IT, IT IS EVERYONE ONE IN THE GARDENS, PEOPLE WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE GARDENS NEED IT MORE. DON'T FORGET WE PAY BIG RENTS.

If you look back and see who gets their photo in the paper, then you'll know who wants the credit. There are many behind the scenes people who could care less about getting credit for what they do, they do it out of the goodness of their hearts. I think in the last few years, the only one who made sure his pic was in the paper is Larry!!! You never see anyone else looking for the credit, maybe this guy thinks it helps him get elected to the council?? But we all know that it doesn't take only one person to do all that is done for the needy people of town

the photos are not always put in the paper for individual credit but also for the groups that are raising money like Elks. K of C, Lions. This allows them to garner credit so people who donate and support these groups know where the donation is going. On the other hand there are people who help out but do it for their own sake and do not want accolates.

I remember when Mr. Millan used to give turkey's away.  Nice to hear some one has taken it up a knotch and Continued.

They have been doing it for over 10 years. Get your facts right. Millan was doing it when the Church was doing it. He helped then with the turkeys.

You should get YOUR facts straight. He never did it with the church, he did it with volunteers and would deliver them in front of the church...I guess that's why you THOUGHT he was helping the church.....
