Sure, there are 'instances' where some "bright" high school grads have advanced their learning and abilities from 'on the job' training and 'self-study'; but that is 'neither' DK or Larry B. Both were at the lower quarter of their class in HHS. and were not known for their academic proficiency and hard work. Perhaps someone like retired teacher James Giger; teacher Joe Healy; or teacher Jack Rogers? We need someone who is professionally educated enough to understand the basics of a variety of social, economic and other topics that will arise in relation to the operation and advancement of his ward and town. Plus, be a refined speaker with a good vocabulary; be intellectually endowed enough to read up and acquire enough information on a topic in order to speak at a conference or meeting with State and outside corporate executives; able to evaluate and negotiate the 'best' deal for his constituents and town. The Mayor does not want anyone to think. He prefers dumb councilman this way he can control them. The last councilman who could think for himself was Councilman Millan. McDonough used the party machine to take him out. It took walking door to door with Villalta and several lies but he managed to defeat Millan who was on the line. The Hudson County Democratic party should have come down on McDonough for supporting Villalta who was running off the party line but they failed to do it. Shows you how much the Democratic party means. Councilman Doran has sold out. He was the only other light of hope but he turned his back on his promises and became spineless. "Yes Mayor" whatever you want who cares how much it costs, whether it makes any sense, or whether its against the law. Someone should run for Mayor and simply use this website to tell the public the truth. I myself am going to spread the word by distributing some flyers this weekend for KOTW. KOTW is the only place where the truth is allowed to be posted.
