"A 40-year-old Kearny man, who lives on Devon Street near Tappan Street, was hit from behind on Sunday Oct. 7 at 7:55 p.m. with a unknown blunt object that left him with lacerations to the back of his head and a swollen right eye, police said.

The victim was coming out of the upper end of West Hudson Park and passed 81 Devon St., according to police. A group of young men were sitting on the porch at that address and began to verbally abuse the victim, according to police reports. Two of the young men from the porch then followed the victim and hit him from behind.

Police said the man fell to the ground and remained unconscious for an undisclosed time. He then walked to his home on Devon Street and family members called the police and an ambulance, police said. The victim was taken to Clara Maass Hospital and released.

Lt. Greg Reed said that the victim was shown pictures police of possible suspects, but the victim could not identify his attackers at this time. There are no witnesses as of yet, according to police reports.

Det. John Telle is the investigating officer on this case and anyone with information about the attack should call the Kearny police at 201-998-1313. The investigation is ongoing." --http://thecanessacorner.blogspot.com/2007/10/kearny-resident-attacked-during-walk-in.html

I don't really know what to say...just hoping that posting this here will give it a bit more exposure. Maybe someone who saw will see it here if not there. :ninja:
