Harrison approves demolition on site for senior housing

... has a great need for senior housing," McDonough said. "We have a lot of older people whose children have gone, and they'd like to sell their homes. They're looking for one- or two- bedroom apartments here in town." Town Business Administrator Peter B. Higgins said Harrison's seniors account for more than 20 percent of the town's population. In addition to senior housing, Higgins estimated that the site is also large enough to accommodate "a couple hundred" units of non-age restricted...
