"NO COST TO TAXPAYERS ???

In the Observer I read where Harrison was going to raise 40 million dollars for the soccer stadium through the sale of bonds, "AT NO COST TO THE TAXPAYERS" !!! Do these politicians think we are all freakin' idiots ?? Selling bonds can be compared to putting something on a credit card. It all has to be paid back, with interest, in annual payments that becomes part of the annual town budget. And if the town's income doesn't cover the town expenses (with these bond payments added) then the taxes get raised. One way or the other, we are all going to pay for these bonds. For a stadium that no one except the mayor and council appears to want. ONLY IN HARRISON, FOLKS.

DON'T FORGET ABOUT DOUBLING THE POPULATION OF THE TOWN DURING A SOLD OUT EVENT. DOES THAT MEAN WE HAVE TO HIRE COPS FROM NEWARK, KEARNY OR WHERE EVER FOR THE EVENT? WHAT ABOUT THE CLEAN UP? 20,000 DRUNKS WALKING AROUND THE TOWN, OVERTIME FOR THE STREET DEPARTMENT....EXTRA SECURITY....

It's not overtime for the Street Department, it's overtime for the chosen few.
