Guest komotion Posted July 24, 2005 Report Share Posted July 24, 2005 i propose to the mayor to use the school crossing guards, after their work is done , and the town's children are in school, as meter maids , and for two hour parking violations,and street cleaning. this would help the under - staffed police doing the job now . this would mean more revenue for the town, and give the crossing guards a littlr more money in their paychecks. they're the ones who stand outside in all kinds of inclement weather, who take abuse from inconsidered people, motorists, and help insure the safety of our children ! Guest me Posted July 25, 2005 Report Share Posted July 25, 2005 Are you kidding? Who stands out there in all kinds of weather? Everytime it gets cold, snows or rains, half of them call in sick. The only reason they haven't been fired is because they are political appointments. Just try calling in sick that many times in a real job and you'd be out on your a$$.
