Councilwoman Barbara Sherry Posted July 4, 2005 Report Share Posted July 4, 2005 On Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at 7pm at Kearny Town Hall, the zoning board will continue its hearing of an expansion application for Talbot Hall in South Kearny. At the original hearing several weeks ago, the president of Education and Health Centers of America, John Clancy, danced around the question of what type of inmates will be housed in the new structure, but it is apparent for reasons too numerous to mention here, that they will be civilly committed sexual predators. We, in Kearny, find it totally inappropriate and extremely dangerous to house such individuals in the most densely populated area in New Jersey. Since the facility would be as close to Harrison's borders as to residential sections of Kearny, we are asking that Harrison residents attend this meeting to register their protest. Thank you.
