HARRISON AS A DISTRESSED CITY

HOW IS IT THAT HARRISON REMAINS A DISTRESSED CITY? THE STATE WENT INTO IRVINGTON, WHICH USED TO BE A DISTRESSED CITY AND FIXED IT. WHY CAN'T THE STATE DO THE SAME IN HARRISON? IS IT BECAUSE IRVINGTON WANTED TO GET FIXED AND HARRISON DOESN'T?

IT SEEMS TO ME THE MAYOR HAS A PRETTY SWEET DEAL. AS LONG AS HARRISON REMAINS A DISTRESSED CITY, HE CAN AVOID RAISING YOUR TAXES AND APPEAR TO BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT. IT IS A DISGRACE TO BOTH HIM AND THE STATE THAT HARRISON CONTINUES TO BEG THE STATE FOR MONEY AND REMAINS UNDER ITS WATCHFUL EYE.

HE CONTINUES TO RUN THIS TOWN WITH A BUSINESS AS USUAL APPROACH AND GIVES JOBS TO ANYONE WHO WILL PULL THE LEVER IN HIS FAVOR. MAYBE MR. MCDONOUGH HAS HIS ESCAPE POD READY TO LIFT OFF. HIS HONOR OWNS A BEAUTIFUL HOME DOWN THE SHORE AND EVEN LISTS THE TOWN HALL AS HIS RESIDENCE ON HIS CAMPAIGN DOCUMENTS.

HE CAN'T FOOL ANYONE INTO BELEIVING HE HAS HARRISON IN HIS HEART.

McDonough does not even pay taxes. He lives rent free below his relative. He don't care about your taxes. As far as being distressed. McDonough promoted seven fire captains on the eve of financial ruin at the cost of $115,000.00. Real smart... Keep voting him in... Make them rich $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

By the way, We pay more money for the redevelopment salaries and offices than has been recovered since its inception. I never felt comfortable with Peter B. involved with anything.. ;)
