Guest Guest_Harrisonian_*
Tommorrow is Manny Amaral's last day in Harrison. Most of the cars are gone transported to his new place in Lyndhurst. What will the Town do with the lot? Build more houses. It is a shame that our Mayor and Council have let this happen in the name of redevelopment. A loyal Harrisonian has been forced to move and for what. Good luck Manny, you will be missed.

He owns nothing in Harrison. Manny Amaral came from nothing (a little mechanic shop on S. 5th) and built a thriving business. He moved up Route 280 (like many Harrisonians have done). Ask our Town Clerk where he lives. Manny could pick him up on his way down 280. Q: If Manny's property was so contaminated why does the Town of Harrison want to take it to turn it over to a connected developer? A: Because it's prime real estate next to the Path Station. After all the hoopla about what a good job Tom did all we ended up with is an empty lot.

Guest Red Bull fan
Because the developer has agreed to clean up the property, before the town allows it to be developed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just as the Red Bulls (actually the Metrostar) owners agreed to do and then got 50 million for the town's taxpayers via a Bond. Will 50 million be enough or should we include some additional money for the Amaral clean up bond to divert over to the Red Bulls' property. Maybe we can bail out the owners of the former Hartz mountain complex by purchasing the properties to build a Stadium for our kids. Oh, I forgot we don't need a stadium we sold that to the River Park folks to build crammed townhouses.

Say did they put the pool in yet at the condos. They'll be swimming in the Passaic before that's built
Guest Guest
If Amaral was closed down this week, how does Central Parking (might be Kinney, not sure) get to operate the lot directly near the PATH with the little newspaper stand. Did Amaral used to lease the lot or something. Maybe I'm wrong but I think he used to operate that lot. What changed.
