For years the Kearny School System has elected members who present themselves as people who really care about children. Is that their main objective? I would think not when you look at over the years the many relatives ie. sons, wifes, sisters, daughters, godsons, sisters in law that have been hired in high paying positions in the Kearny School District. It is sad to see also the many interested politicians show a major interest in the BOE, To see these individuals run around town saying we have to elect these people to the board because they are good for the kids, while they privately address their own personal agenda. This practice has been going on for years and the time has come for the VOTERS of KEARNY to end this "SELFISH" reason for running for the Kearny Board of Education. The "TAXPAYERS of KEARNY" deserve better and must end this practice of "SELF INTEREST" by voting for quaifled individuals that will put "KEARNY'S CHILDREN FIRST" and not the interests of promoting,hiring,and making them unaccountable to their positions. LINDENFESLER, DORN, and LOWERY all have family interests in the school district and when important votes come up at board meetings they will be unable to vote because their family members are employed resulting in disfunction when it comes to policy decisions. The "TIME" is now to vote for "CANDIDATES" with "NO FAMILY AGENDAS" and will honestly put the best interests of the "CHILDERN FIRST" and not the interests of "FAMILY" and certain "POLITICAL FAMILIES" who have for years controlled their "PERSONAL FAMILY FIRST AGENDAS". A "NO VOTE" against LINDENFESLER, DORAN, and LOWERY would be a good first step in changing the "FAMILY FIRST" image that for years has been the reason I believe Kearny hasn't progressed as a first class School District. You know, one of the ones who have NEVER been to a boe meeting or know anything about what’s going on, but are going to come along on your white charger and fix everything. But just because you don’t currently have any family members employed by the boe DOES NOT make you an expert on how to accomplish what needs to be accomplished. I think you might need to back that up with some facts. But if you think it’s unusual for people who have lived in a town for generations to have family members employed by their local government, you are sadly mistaken. Please provide links to you information that the state of NJ is "scrutinizing and discussing a possible takeover" of the Kearny School system. That sounds pretty ridiculous and I'd like to see your proof.

I AM a Lindenfelser and Lowery supporter, but I won't support them by lying about the situation. LIndenfelser and Lowery are both educated people with experience and maturity to get the job done without the nonsense that has been going on. (I don't personally know Doran, so no slight to him.)

Yeah. We're also wondering what is the next blunder the Fab 5 are going to do. I'm a twenty plus year teacher at Franklin school and the morale here has gone way down. Teachers have started a phone chain this summer and we can not believe what the Fab 5 have done, taken out a 30 year veteran educator and administrator, Mr. Hoff, to put in a 5 year inexperienced crony teacher to satisfy John Campbell's friend, and Board secretary, Barbara Avitable. The teachers in Franklin School feel betrayed by the Fabulous 5 BOE members and their Superintendent Mr. Bolandi. Franklin School is failing as far as State Testing is concerned and we need highly qualified and experienced educators at the helm, not Baby Justin Avitable to satisfy his mommy who will help in the John Campbell election. How can the Fab 5 and their crony Superintendent do this to us? Here is a question for Mr. George King, President of the BOE and Deputy Chief of Police in kearny. Would you take a 5 year rookie police officer and put him in as a deputy chief of police? Of course NOT!!! So why did you do this to us at Franklin School where the need for experience is so great? Mr. Hoff was an excellent experienced Vice Principal and a gentleman, who supported us, the teachers, and helped moved the school forward. This is the straw that broke the camel's back .All of you in the Fab 5 must go, ASAP!!! I also live in town as do many of the other teachers in the district and rest assure that we will and are passing the word on to vote everyone of you out. WE WILL SUCCEED!!! There is a candidate who has served Keary since 1987. He worked at West Hudson Hospital as a CAT Scan Tech. Now works at Clara Maass. Was Supt. of Sunday School at First Pres. Church 19 years. I believe he has a lot to offer. He and his wife sonia adoptd their daughter Sara who is four from China. He is new to politics, but, not leadership experience. I don't know Mr. Doran well, but, Jim Hill I know for a long time. I am voting for Lowry, Lindenfelser, and Hill. Good Luck !
