Impeachment Pending?

Everyday there seem to be just a little more momentum in favor of impeachment for either Bush or Cheney. I can only hope this momentum keeps building. Actually it's a little disurbing that it has taken this long.

Unfortunately, public humilation for those involved is hardly just punishment for the mess we now enjoy. If and when the ongoing investigations reveal some of the profoundly serious lawbreaking alleged by this admistration then they should be sent to prison for a very long time. Not just because it would be deserved, but also to show future administrations that this type of behavior shall be dealt with severely.

Well, throwing people in jail is one thing, but I seriously doubt an impeachment process, even if started now, would even be finalized before someone else is already voted into office anyhow.

You're doing way too much Kool-aid. The economy is up, stock market is breaking records, unemployment is at record lows, war is going our way. Only a white flag waving defeatocrat would see something negative in all that. God bless George Bush, he's a great man and a great President.

There's nothing negative in going from the biggest surplus in our country's history to the biggest deficit ever (a difference of over 5 trillion dollars) in just a few years?

God bless George Bush, he's a great man and a great President.

 You are seriously deluded.

MORE lies from BushWanker, unemployment has been HIGHER every year of the Shrub administration tha when Clinton left office. In case your tunnel vision didn't notice the death rate in Iraq, where major combat operations ceased and the the mission was allegedly accomplished over four years ago, is also up.

YOU lie like a rug.

You're probably right, although they could censure him. Even if he was impeached, Cheney would pardon him anyway.

However, he is going to go down as one of the worst presidents this country ever had and that should be punishment enough. I do get a kick out of Bush Backer's praise no matter how wrong he is.

Can you imagine that we went from being one of the most respected countries in the world to one of the most hated and laughed at.

Fortunately we only have a little more than a year and one half to go and the great national nightmare will be over.

It's just scary how delusional these Bushies are. The stock market is up, but there are chilling similarities to the 1920s for a variety of reasons. The middle class is being destroyed, most people are working longer just to maintain their standard of living, and in most families two wage-earners is considered necessary.

The "war going our way" --- what idiocy. In the first place, the war ended in three weeks. What we're doing in Iraq now isn't a war, it's an attempt to bring a form of government to a nation that can't hold it unless we stay there and enforce it for an indefinite period of time, and even then resentment against us is more likely to result in an anti-democratic backlash. Meanwhile, we have destroyed what used to be decent relationships with other countries all over the world, lost precious time we could have spent fighting the real terrorists because we are on this idiotic diversion, ignored real nuclear threats in other countries, divided the nation and the world, set the entire Arab world against us and spent boodles of money for the privilege. And all to make frat boy and his buddies in the oil industry richer than before, if you can imagine that --- but why imagine it, just watch it happen.

Bush-backers like this one are big on slogans, but don't seem to care very much about what is really happening in the country and in the world. The truth isn't defeatism. It's just the truth. There is no other way but the truth to a lasting security and prosperity.

I may have stated this before on this forum, but you reminded me of my first reaction to all of these people wanting to run for president in '08, when they started announcing themselves:

"Wow, who would have thought so many people would want to clean up THIS mess?"

It's amazing, but it's also heartening. Anyone truly willing to help mop up this train wreck gets a lot of respect from me.

What a crock. It's obvious you get your talking points from the radical left bloggers. "The stock market is up but there are chilling similiarities to the 1920's for a variety of reasons" ?? That's just rediculous and sounds like a quote directly from George Soros. Better go easy on the Kool-aid.

If you weren't so tunnel visioned you'd realize the stock markey is only the stock market and not representative of the entire economy.

It seems a correction is now being applied.

And remember the DOW market is based on stock valued on the dollar, which has lost 40% of its value against the international market during the Bush reign. When we see a DOW of 13,000, take 40% away to get the real value - 8,000. In 2000 the market was about 10,500.
