Guest Curious yellow
Read in the Jersey Journal about 4 18 and 19 year olds arrested in Kearny on a vandalism spree of smashing 40 or 50 cars around KHS and that area. The article did not give their names and since they are of age I am wondering who they are and why were their names not in Chief Dowie's article. Guest Guest
At least one of them is probably related to someone important. Just a guess?!
Guest Guest
I would think if you call the Jersey Journal they can explain why names were left out, and by whom?
Guest SDem_Guest
There are a few possible reasons why names were not mentioned. These include: 1. There may be other suspects that were not arrested because they got away. By publishing the names of those who were arrested, it jeapordizes the possibility of capturing the other vandals. 2. The police may have arrested the wrong people and they were released. 3. A judge may have ordered that the names not be made public.

Guest StudiesandObservations
Actually NONE of them were from town, nor are any of them related to anyone. The simple fact is that the Police Dept Does NOT Write the article, while the names are public information (Except when the arrestee is a Juvenile, or Domestic Violence offender), the PD has no control over whether the reporter puts them in the article or not. There were no other suspects, the witness who called the PD gave a description of the car and it was stopped a few minutes later.

From the Kearny Journal: "The four people arrested were: John Martins, 19, of Kearny; Valentin Carrique, 18, of North Bergen; Michael Silva, 18, of Newark; and Alexandra Rocha, 21, of Harrison, according to Kearny Police Lt. Stephen Durkin. "
Guest Dave
Gee Studies and Observations you sure seem to put your 2 cents in in Kearny, Harrison and East Newark. You comments, though ill informed, indicate you are a police officer. Probably from Kearny, but who also listens to rumors and innuenendos in Harrison and E. Newark. Get a life and stay out of other Town's business.
