MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THEY HAVE TO PATROL THE AREA TILL MIDNIGHT. I SAW NO OFFICERS ON SCENE. IT'S ON GOING, LUCAS NEED TO PUT AN END TO IT. ALSO WHY ISN'T THERE A BETTER SYSTEM INSTALLED TO AVOID THOSE WEEKLY DUMPSTER FIRES? WHERE IS TK AND CREW TO BETTER THE SITUATION? LAST WEEK WE HAD FOUR FIRES WITHIN 12 HOURS. WHY? YOUR ALL CONCERNED WITH THE MISSING MALE FROM THIS AREA, I SUGGEST YOU ADDRESS THESE MATTERS FIRST I DON'T WANT NOR CARE HIS WHEREABOUTS, HE WAS A WORTHLESS SACK OF CRAP FOCUS ON THE CHILDREN AND THIER WELFARE IN THIS COMMUNITY. Let's just kick out all the trashy people in there leaving only the non-troublemakers. Or just kick out everyone all together. There are alot of good people in there, but there are alot who aren't. You can't blame other people for how people raise their kids, or actually don't raise their kids. Fights and trash fires aren't the faults of the people you're blaming, they're the faults of those kids in there. The people here cry about town security, well then we can't send 3-4 officers down there every night because the people there can't control their kids. So there it is. My solution to your problems. If Lucas can't stop the fights, we don't have the cops to put there, and TK can't stop the fires maybe its time we just get rid of the gardens all together and make a new low-income housing area for those few who don't take it for gratned. P.s. if we put the cops down there constantly , you know how many parents would be complaining we the cops have taken their kids downtown. Thats even if they know where their kids are anyway. Guest mama hen Posted July 14, 2004 Report Share Posted July 14, 2004 listen, why the blame when we know that the true reasoning behind these fights stem from our council peoples families/relatives. nothing is ever documented just thrown under the rug. any officer will tell you. these housing are for those votes who know someone or do someone. there are no low income edlerly there hardly. it's a haven for the town punks and ass kisser. how many of the residents there actually work for the town already, some with two jobs in town. why is that? get rid of the projects ........yes please do, maybe then our taxpayer money will be invested in quality products to benefit all tax payers, not the crap that lives there. charity starts at home folks, clean out your own closet first, don't blame the hpd for everything, at least they try, especially those out of towners cops you people seem to blast every turn. those in town cater to these menace down there. go ahead do away, see if they can handle the thousand dollar rents from the area apartment, where else can they get such service for nothing. maybe they need to learn a harsh reality instead of destroying what has been given to them on a silver platter. you people know who you are! too much monkey business takes place behind them close doors, put a stop to it! make it a agenda as a mayor and fresh start for harrison! Guest Problem Solver Posted July 15, 2004 Report Share Posted July 15, 2004 The last time we had problems at the Gardens the Police Chief came down for a resident meeting and laid the law down to the residents. A foot patrolman was placed there between 7PM and 11PM and other Officers were advised to park their cars and walk in the area after the foot patrolman left. There will always be problems at the Gardens caused by some residents who obviously have substance abuse problems. This is ongoing. Mr. Lucas trys his best to control the problem situation, but its a no-win situation. Chief Trucillo, its time for you to get actively involved in addressing these problems and come up with a plan. Confer with the Police Chairman Doran, who lived there for many years, and knows the clientle. Also get the 3rd. ward Councilman Kelly and Rodgers involved. Ask the residents to give you recommendations for a solution and get on with the job. Otherwise, the projects will become like those in Newark that had to be demolished. The bedbug villian lives a few doors down, they are the town drunks, with a kid that is the devil himself. Not his fault though, its his upbringing. They have no time for this boy, they are too busy drinking. Those of you who know who I am talking about, know this to be true. She pays dirt cheap rent while pocketing the husbands money. Everyone talking about the couple that moved to the shore, this couple is doing the same thing, just not smart enough to put the money to good use. Stop blaming the cops and firemen for the crap that goes on in the gardens! There have been fights and fires there since the beginning of time. The fires are like a tradition for christ sakes. The problem lies with people not giving a rats a** about where their kids are and what they are doing. (Also a plague in the gardens since the beginning of time) How ridiculous does it sound that a grown women got her butt kicked over dog pee on some flowers. I don't think being allowed a dog in the gardens is such a good idea anyway. When did that start? Is there a dog run there for them???? The apartments are much too small for dogs.
